Runjhun misra, thank you for being with us tonight. Thank you. There is a lot of confusion about who should and should not be wearing a mask. Should everyone be wearing a mask when they leave their home . I know theres a lot of confusion. What we need to remember is weve all been following the guidelines set forth by the World Health Organization, cdc, and those guidelines are still the same. If youre sick or taking care of a sick person, then you need to wear a mask. That doesnt mean that things can change in the next coming days. If the guidelines do change, and they recommend that everyone wear a mask when you leave the house, those masks are gonna be diy home masks. Theyre not gonna be the surgical masks. We still have to keep them for the people who need them most which is the Healthcare Workers. Heres another viewer question. Should parents take babies for initial vaccines right now and . And what about toddlers and older children who are due for vaccinations . The cdc is recommending that newborns who need their first set of vaccines be taken in to get their vaccines. But everyone else can hold off. They can still do telehealth visits. And once this has calmed down, they can start giving those immunizations to their kids and babies. The World Health Organization is saying the next two weeks are going to be especially tough. What do you expect well see here in the bay area at local hospitals . Were definitely expecting to see an increase in the number of cases. But were also hoping that were gonna be able to meet that demand and be able to take care of all the patients. Reading the news, watching the news, even being on social media can get very overwhelming. And amidthe pandemic, it can be very stressful. My tryto limit that an hour or two a day. And the rest of the day, youre doing something you enjoy. Make sure youre eating wellbalanced meals, exercising, meditating. Youre trying to still have some control of your daily schedule. Lastly, make sure you talk to someone. Because thats very, very important. Keep connecting with your friends. Ultimately were gonna get through this together. And even though we may feel alone, we dont have to be lonely. We have all these different ways that we can still keep connected with people. Yeah, those are all really good things to keep in mind as we go through the next weeks and days. Weve all heard repeatedly to continue to wash our hands. Also touching your face, we do it without thinking about it. And theyre saying along with handwashing, dont touch your face. Its especially important to keep yourself safe. Absolutely. And those are the things that havent changed. Very, very simple, easy things that we can do. Washing our hands and not touching our faces is probably the single most important thing you can do after staying at home. And what that basically entails is that if you have inadvertently touched anything or anyone, and you have infectious material on your hands, that you wont be introducing it into the body by means of your eyes, mouth or nose.
