Antibody tests are already being used to figure out who has been exposed to covid19 but not all of the tests are reliable. Antibodies, which know if you already have the virus and may now be immune to it. Abbott laboratories in illinois would be sending out almost 1 million tests this week. 4 million by the end of the month. Meantime, stanford started performing its own tests last week. Researchers there say there are not enough. It varies a lot. But of the problem is the Consumer Reports summary of which of those portable devices are reliable. Selling tests with the association for Public Health laboratories says many of those tests are not effective. Sanford hopes to increase its testing and help other labs get their krob programs up and running. Well, this morning, First Responders are once again visiting hospitals around the bay area to show their appreciation for Health Care Workers. A show of appreciation for First Responders, doctors, nurses, therapists, and staff workers heading in and out of the hospital. Lets take a look. [ cheers and applause ] you could hear the cheers and applause as Health Care Workers wrapped up their overnight shift at Oconnor Hospital in san jose. Seneca county Sheriffs Officers parked their vehicles on the hospitals front entrance, turned on their flashing lights and lit up the corridor. They were showered with applause. The Sheriffs Office did the same thing at saint louise hospital in gilroy. [ applause ] the firefighters, they lined up the pull fire trucks and lit up the lights on those emergency tickles as well and they stood by the front entrance with signs also cheering and clapping for those Health Care Professionals as they walked in the hospital doors. The nurses yesterday held a rally outside of the hospital. They say the Women Services department, which is due to close in the, provides care for women at all stages of life including childbirth. Protest organizers say closing that down would affect thousands of lower income women in east san jose. We have so many walk in we have sone many moms that come in with little or no prenatal care. They know that they can come here. They know that they get good care. They talked to their friends that have delivered here. We specialize and those kind of patients. Hospital corporation of america owns Regional Medical center in san jose. Theres an online petition and stopping the closure. It already has more than 10,000 signatures. Well, Santa Cruz County is beginning to lift those restrictions on Outdoor Activities. The new rules are taking effect today. The countys Health Officer wanted to wait until after easter and passover to prevent large holiday gatherings outside. The beaches and parks will be open from sunrise to sunset and the county experimented with that yesterday. On a gloomy day, it is hard being inside all day long. So it is nice to get out and see a lot of other people out here walking the beaches. The crews are back out. Santa cruz county has more than 50 state and county parks and about 32 miles of coastline and beach. The county is still urging people, though, to practice that social distancing. When Police Department near sacramento now using new technology to protect the health of their officers during this pandemic. We are talking about the roseville Police Department. A suspect was killed in an east bay Police Shootout after allegedly kidnapping and murdering a woman from solano county. It started yesterday afternoon. She was rushed to a hospital but later died. Oakland police later spotted a suspect in a white van and chased him on interstate 580 into richmond. Everything was happening so fast. The suspect reportedly started shooting at several oakland Police Officers and one officer from richmond fired back. The suspect died.
