Ive been waiting for pretty close to eight weeks i would say. And again the reason being, non essential surgeries dont get priority. What it does basically, its been around for a while its an antiviral drug that weve used before on other diseases obviously. Is been shown to decrease Recovery Time. From 15 days to 11 days which is about 31 . Institute its very statistically significant. The big thing here is we are only using it in the hospital for severely sick patients who need supplemental oxygen support. This is not something you can call and get from the pharmacy and give it intravenously, is used for people very sick. I was wondering if people would try to make a run on it like the other drugs. Only hospitals would have access and only to treat patients with covid19 currently. This coronavirus how long will it last and be around and affect your life. It could last will be on this year. What is your thought about this . There was a new published study by the university of minnesota today that said it could be around for 18 to 24 months. Weve heard that Everyone Needs to be careful about the social distancing and going back to work. Companies going back to work. Of the governor seems to relent somewhat and allow businesses to go back next week. What are factors that can cause resurgence of covid19. We need to think how well is the public, what is ever going to be like to limit the contact and take precautions. How effective will the programs be the contact, trace and isolate. How long and how well will we protect our high risk populations . Three important things that will determine whether or not we have a resurgence. The governor in florida opened up parts of the state saying i opened up the state, we have not have this great number of explosion in covid19 cases. I was listening to him talk today live, i was wondering what your thoughts are when you hear the governor Say Something like this. The state is open and people going back to doing their thing and we are not seeing a difference. Is that curious to you . I think we need to remember what we already know about the virus. It has a very long inc. Nation. Anywhere from 5 to 14 days. Some studies are showing a longer incubation. If you just open the state we wont see the effect of that for another two weeks. Once people get sick and is bound to happen if you open the stay without any precautions, then you see the depth toll climb. It wont be an immediate thing we will see, its going to be a little delayed. Just because were not seeing anything right now a month does not mean we can let our guard down. I think thats what many people are wondering. Cant let your guard down. Is something we have to wait and see. Dr. Internal medicine doctor, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
