L’Avant-Scène presents a double-bill winter performance at Art on Hulfish for two nights only. Each night’s program will include two back-to-back exquisite plays by celebrated classical playwrights: Les Caprices de Marianne by Musset and La Seconde Surprise de l’amour by Marivaux. Les Caprices de Marianne is one of Alfred de Musset’s most beloved plays. La Seconde Surprise de l’amour has enjoyed a revival in France, with one recent performance receiving rave reviews. Performed in French by the students of L’Avant-Scène, the Department of French and Italian’s French Theater Workshop. Estimated duration: 2 hours, 15 minutes.
