There was some disappointment because some people had hoped we might find out more definitive results but the reason is they are processing lots of mailin ballots in the state of nevada can actually receive these ballots all the way until next week and they would legally have to be counted. It could be a very small number of ballots but as it stands right now, joe bidens lead is around 11,000 votes and officials in the state say that all of those ballots have been tallied so what they are waiting for is mailin ballots and they have been leaning towards the democrats. So joe bidens team is hopeful nevada can go their weight but it is too soon to say. If we go from the west to the east coast, in georgia at the margin of victory is going to be razor thin. How surprising is this . Its really surprising. Last time georgia voted for a democrat was in bill clinton in 1992. This is a republican stronghold in it has been for many years and right now President Trump is ahead by just 14,000 votes but that margin has been shrinking. A good number of the votes left to count coming from Fulton County where atlanta is located and its really an example of what has been driving change in georgia. You have these big urban areas that are home to growing immigrant populations and young latinos. People have been moving in up north and its turning patches of georges map up a blue and now it is a battleground state, at least this year and thats a new political reality for both parties. The only scenario in which the Supreme Court could hand donald trump the election would be if the election comes down one state in that state was very close. Most likely it would be in a state that is very close and is allowing votes to come in i election day and where they been accommodations for covid19. Donald trumps problem has been that he needs votes to ntinue being counted in some state, to stop being counted and others and he is simply to behind and what will likely be the deciding state of pennsylvania.
