MELSP Looks For Melanin Variants For Use In Space

The International Space Station (ISS) will be used by the US Naval Research Laboratory’s Melanized Microbes for Multiple Uses in Space Project, or MELSP, to look for ways to produce melanin variants and other practical biomaterials that could be used both on Earth and in space.
