NJ Hotel Must Rehire Unionized Workers Amid NLRB Suit
Law360 (May 19, 2021, 7:25 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Wednesday granted the National Labor Relations Board an injunction forcing a hotel to rehire its unionized workforce while agency prosecutors press allegations that it subcontracted their jobs without bargaining.
U.S. District Judge John Michael Vazquez ordered Arbah Hotel Corp. to negotiate rehiring terms with the New York Hotel and Motel Trades Council and bring back the fired workers pursuant to their agreement, finding reasonable cause to believe the Meadowlands View Hotel operator violated the law as prosecutors in the NLRB's Newark office allege.
