Oregon expands education programs for incarcerated adults, but gaps remain

Each of Oregon’s 12 prisons offers GED classes. But before the pandemic, only 700 prisoners statewide were enrolled in them, said Donna Lewelling with the Higher Education Coordinating Commission.
