ROCKLIN, California – A story about two different games for Oregon Tech’s softball-squad as they open the season 2-0 for the second season in a row. The Owls did it without allowing a single deserved run.
In game one, Arizona Christian struck first, but their one run in the first came on a throwing error on a stolen base-attempt. The Owls scored two runs in the bottom of the same inning before scoring seven more runs between the second and fifth innings. Klamath Falls-native McKenna Armantrout led the way for OIT in the first game, going 2-for-3 with a run and two RBI’s, including a run-scoring double in the second inning. Oregon Tech won handily, 9-1, in the first of two games against Arizona Christian.
