OTC expands line worker program; average pay for job field nearly $80K

Ozarks Technical Community College will expand its line worker program to the Richwood Valley campus this fall. It started at the college's Lebanon location.
Demand for line workers spurred Ozarks Technical Community College to expand its training.
The OTC Board of Trustees finalized a plan Monday to offer the line worker training program at its Richwood Valley campus, which is located between Ozark and Nixa in Christian County.
The college debuted the two-year program — which leads to an associate's degree of applied science in electrical distribution systems — at its Lebanon location in 2018. It will launch this fall at Richwood Valley.
