Both Singleton and Allen add to Penn State’s recent dominance with running back recruiting. Although the program didn’t garner any running back commitments in its 2021 class, the success in 2019, 2020, and now 2022’s class can’t be ignored.
In its 2019 class, Penn State added four-star recruits Noah Cain and Devyn Ford. Now, of course, both have proved to be major contributors for offense just two years into their college careers.
Cain totaled 443 rushing yards and eight touchdowns as a true freshman before missing almost all of 2020 with an injury. Ford has 568 rushing yards and six touchdowns under his belt through his first two seasons as a Nittany Lion.
