Salmon season closed for rivers in Klamath basin

Last week, salmon sport fishing on the Klamath and Trinity Rivers was expectedly shut down again. The California Fish and Game Commission unanimously prohibited the take and possession of fall-run chinook salmon in these rivers and their tributaries May 15th, and adopted emergency closures of the spring chinook salmon for 2024.
