Sammy’s Drive-In Restaurant, a staple in Greenwich Township before shuttering a decade ago, soon will be revived under a new concept. Chris Sterlacci of Asbury plans to open “Mountain Dudes” along Route 22 by fall 2021.

Sammy’s Drive-In Restaurant, a staple in Greenwich Township before shuttering a decade ago, soon will be revived under a new concept.
Chris Sterlacci of Asbury plans to open “Mountain Dudes” at the 1.7-acre property along Route 22 -- directly across from the former Phillipsburg Mall -- by fall. It was the nostalgia of the 1950s drive-ins that made him want to get involved in buying the site, he said.
