Sandra Atkinson unseats Jeff Hinkle as GOP executive committee chair

She will head a board full of newcomers. Cheryl Stubbs was elected vice chairman, Tom Miesen treasurer and Anne Ziegenhorn secretary. Sherrie Cox was sworn in earlier this month to succeed Atkinson as state committeewoman and Ron Adams has assumed the role of state committeeman.
Hinkle said he was proud of what the executive committee accomplished in his two years. He said OCREC now has the largest bank account and largest membership among Panhandle Republican organizations.
"The REC has actually been left in great shape and I know they'll take care of it and move it forward," he said. 
Hinkle declined to comment on the election outcome.
