As more doses of the COVID-19 vaccines become available, health officials have invited more groups to sign up for shots.
Last week, Gov. Phil Murphy opened vaccines to police officers. So over the past week, South Jersey cops have been going to vaccination sites, like the state mega site at Rowan College of South Jersey and the Camden County site at Camden County College, to take their initial doses.
Participation, though, is dependent on officers' concerns over the vaccines' effectiveness and safety.
Police chiefs in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Cumberland counties report a majority of officers are still planning on taking the vaccine.
