1. Be flexible in tenders
Airports must build flexibility into tender offers according to
PT&M Managing Director Eric Trichot. He warned that fixed requirements will damage the standard of bids which the tender receives in the current environment.
He said: “When a crisis is ongoing…it creates major uncertainty on the level of traffic and scenarios of recovery. All the fixed parameters in the tender become a problem; they were acceptable in the stable environment and they could be potential deal breakers or generate low bids in a very uncertain environment.”
