DURBAN - PIETERMARITZBURG’S streets are expected to be abuzz as supporters of former president Jacob Zuma flock to the city on Tuesday before his high court trial on Wednesday.
Leaders of the #HandsOffMsholozi Solidarity and Support Group said they were ready to host dozens of supporters arriving from all parts of the country.
The activation programme is expected to begin on Tuesday between 4pm and 6pm for the planning committee to “meet and greet” before attending the main night vigil event.
Planning committee chairperson Leon Rolls said that due to Covid-19 regulations, the night vigil would be between 6pm and 11pm. It would be a programme of prayers and messages of support from different structures before supporters retreated to their sleeping venue in Dale Park off Mayors Walk.
