NEW HAVEN (AP) — The American Red Cross says it is helping 37 people in Connecticut after fires damaged their homes on Friday and Saturday. One person was injured in one of the fires and taken to a hospital, while no other injuries were reported.
A fire at an apartment building in New Haven late Friday afternoon displaced nine families, including 12 adults and seven children, fire officials said.
Early Friday afternoon, a fire at a multifamily home in East Hartford left four adults and two children in two families homeless.
A fire Friday morning in Tolland displaced four adults. Fire officials say one person was taken to a hospital and 12 rabbits died.
