On paper, the planet of Microtech doesn’t lend itself to much greenery or wildlife. This is due to its blisteringly cold surface temperatures which require the residents of New Babbage to shelter in its chic indoor surroundings, and even those in warm suits cannot last indefinitely in one of its regular snowstorms. At least, that is all those who travel too and from New Babbage might know.
Among the blizzards, treacherous mountainsides and icy sheets of water; there are a few scattered areas of the planet which are deemed temperate enough not to be impacted by the chilly climate. These green biomes instead support vibrant wildlife of flowers, trees, and other fauna; and are hospitable enough not to require heavy gear, so one doesn’t freeze to death.
