A pupil at All Saints RC School in York taking a Covid test
THOUSANDS of pupils will begin to return to school in York and North Yorkshire after months of remote learning.
All children will be able to return to class from Monday under the first step to ease restrictions, but secondary schools can stagger the return of students over the week to allow for mass testing.
As The Press revealed on Saturday, every state secondary school in York is set to reopen to pupils today bucking national trends.
The chairman of the city’s Schools and Academies Board, John Tomsett, said there will be no need for a staggered start at any of the nine state secondaries.
