Bridget McKenzie might have lost her ministerial position, but the Coalition clearly filed away her spreadsheet ready for a rainy day (“Sydney fears being left high and dry in tourism cash splash”, March 12). Now we hear that $1.2 billion is being tossed to Qantas and Virgin on routes to 13 “international” tourist destinations, all but one being marginal and Coalition-held seats. This is the same government that could only manage an additional $25 per week for JobSeekers. They are without shame.
