I tell them i want to live i go hard i go hard im a star im a star one more time for the one and only queen b tonight once you divide us you weak enus. Were stronger together. Once you divide us, you weaken us. We are stronger together. Without further ado, i would like to introduce to you the next president of the United States, mrs. Hillary clinton thanks to jay z and beyonce. And thanks to chance the rapper and jay cole and big sean. When i when i see them here, this passion and energy and intensity, i dont even know where to begin because this is what america is, my friends straight now to cnns Brianna Kieler in cleveland tonight at that event. You had the best duty at the network tonight, the jay z and beyonce concert for Hillary Clinton. Tell us how it all went down. Yeah, not a bad way to spend a friday night, and certainly that was with a crowd of thousands here at the wolstein center. The performance, which is what everyone came for, obviously was fantastic, but it was really the messages that were particularly interesting coming from jay z and beyonce. Jay z was talking about really how the first female president is something that he was equating with the first black president , with it being a very historic thing. And he actually took aim at donald trump not by name, but he said that he was divisive and he said that he was not an evolved soul. Then you heard beyonce really talking as a mother to a daughter and about the importance of certainly a female president , and Hillary Clinton gave some very short remarks because it was it was certainly noted, don, that a lot of people came more for the concert than maybe they came to hear what Hillary Clinton had to say. But she urged them to get out to vote. All of this here tonight is ohio is about her attracting young africanamerican voters, trying to get them out to the poles. You remember in the primaries that once you looked at the demographics young black voters really split with their parents and grandparents, and they went for Bernie Sanders just as all other Younger Voters did. We really saw that divide cutting across racial lines. So Hillary Clinton has kind of been slow in bringing them around. She talked tonight about criminal justice reform, but also for young black voters, they have found out through this election about some of the things that she said in the 90s supporting her husbands crime bill, and thats part of the reason why they really havent come around. Jay z and beyonce and the other acts here tonight trying to help forget some of that attention and get people out to the polls. Brianna kieler, thank you very much for the reporting. I want to bring in david swerlick. Thank for joining us. Hillary clinton has her surrogates out. Is it going to make a difference in ohio where she has been behind for a while . Again, im skeptical about ohio at this point. For weeks if you look at the real clear politics polling average, ohio has been in the trump column. Right now it is trumps by about three in the holing average. I dont know if theres enough days left in this race for Hillary Clinton to change it. To the Bigger Picture of the rest of the states on the map, i think what brianna was saying a moment ago really hints at what is key right now for the Clinton Campaign, this idea that, look, in the primaries Younger Voters of color, africanamerican Younger Voters, latino Younger Voters, were skewing toward Bernie Sanders. Now that their choice is between trump and clinton, theres really no indication that Younger Voters of color are going to go for trump, but the question is whether they will come out for Hillary Clinton or whether theyll stay home. That is what the Clinton Campaign is trying to guard against, holding these rallies, having surrogates. You know, the biggest surrogates in politics, president obama, Michelle Obama out on the trail for them to under score this idea that now that it is down to this binary choice, unless you count, you know, gary johnson and jill stein, the two third and fourth party candidates, that this is a choice that Younger Voters are simply going to have to make, and they want people to think this is their future. And you mentioned the president being out there. Right. The president was out in North Carolina. I want you to listen to how you handled a protester who interrupted him and how the audience responded. Now, listen up. Im serious, listen up. Youve got an older gentleman who is supporting his candidate. Hes not doing nothing. You dont have to worry about him. You should this is what i mean about folks being focused. First of all, first of all we hold up. Hold up. First of all, we live in a country that respects free speech. So, second of all, it looks like maybe he might have served in our military, and weve got to respect that. Third of all, he was elderly and weve got to respect our elders. And fourth of all, dont boo. David, lets be honest. That is how you handle a protester. Thats how you handle a protester, and it is a stark difference as to what you see especially what we saw at the trump rallies. Get him out of here. Punch him in the face, or ill pay your legal bills. Thats how you do it. Thats how you handle a protester, don. It speaks to president obama having the moral authority. At this point at the end of eight years his Approval Ratings are in the mid50s. He is popular and respected. Even people who dont agree with him on issues see him as someone who can speak with moral authority on these issue, and he handles it without coming across as a scold. Simply saying, you know, lets maintain calm and order. Hes supporting his candidate, he is a veteran. Yes. We must thank him for his service or honor him. Yes. It was a lesson. It was masterful. It is a master class in how you handle a protester, and he didnt demean the man at all. I want you to take a listen at this. This is the exact moment president obama handled the protester, i want you to listen to how it was described by donald trump to his supporters. You saw it today on television, right . He was talking to the protester, screaming at him, really screaming at him. By the way, if i spoke the way obama spoke to that protester, they would say, he became unhinged, he became. You have to go back and look and study and see what happened. They never moved the camera, and he spent so much time screaming at this protester. And, frankly, it was a disgrace. Uhm, was he watching the same tape . Yeah, no. I mean whats going on . It is a total mischaracterization. Look, lets acknowledge for the last few days trump has been on message. He is gaining on secretary clinton in the polls. Lets not take it away from him, but his characterization of the president is completely off. It doesnt bear out for anyone who has just been watching your show for the last five minutes, don. President obama was measured, made a series of points that really no thinking american could disagree with. Again, he didnt do it in a way that scolded anybody. It simply showed that he could regain order and go on and, as you said, don, support his candidate without putting down a protester. Thank you, david. I appreciate it. Thank you, don. I want to turn to Maria Elena Salinas who is a news anchor for univisoin. Welcome to the show. My pleasure. Weve been talking about the black vote being down but theres evidence that the hispanic vote is way up. What are you seeing and hearing . Definitely the hispanic vote is up across the country, but particularly in florida which is one of the states important to this election. In fact, early voting among hispanics increased 129 since 2008. As we know, that one of the most important areas is the i4 corridor in central florida, and there there has been an increase of 46 , 170,000 more Voter Registration among hispanics since 2012. So there definitely is an increase in people interested in voting, people that are registering to vote and people that are casting their vote early. Maria, you know, donald trump never let up on the hispanic and latino communities. He came on my show and said, who is doing the raping, don, somebody is doing the raping, talking about the wall, the judge, alicia machado. These controversies have gotten a lot of coverage in the mainstream media, but i imagine theyve been an even bigger issue in the hispanic media, no . They definitely have been and we have been covering it since the beginning, since that very first day in 2015 when he launched his campaign accusing immigrants, particularly mexican immigrants, of being rapists, being criminals, drug dealer, building the wall. You know, one of the things that i think affected a lot of people and realized that Donald Trumps issue was not only with undocumented immigrants, is when he attacked the judge. The judge is mexican america, yet he called him a mexican and said he could not do his job because he was a mexican and because he was building a wall. I think that gave people the perception that your problem is with mexicans and with latinos in general, not specifically with undocumented immigrants. Yes, weve been covering it quite a bit. And our viewers are very interested, theyre very engaged. We see that in our viewership that has increased. We had incredible numbers in the debates. Weve had incredible numbers in our social media of people responding. And according to the pew hispanic center, theres a 63 increase in interest among latinos from 2012 in politics. You know, this was tim kaine last night in phoenix, maria. Listen to this. Do you think that the latino and Hispanic Community understand the power they might have in this election . I think they do understand the power, and i think little by little theyre realizing they could make a difference. It is interesting that he gave that speech in arizona because arizona is also a very important state. Even though donald trump at this moment is up in the polls in arizona, the hispanic vote could make a huge difference. Theyre more than 21 of the electorate in that state, and theres been Huge Movement in people who have been becoming citizens, registering to vote and getting out and vote. Let me tell you an anecdote about arizona, after hb1070, the antiimmigrant law, there was an increase of 165 of latinos who registered to vote. Lets remember also that russell pierce was voted out of office because of hb1070. So i really think that thats going to have an impact. The fact that he speaks spanish, of course, might not, although a lot of people see it as a form of respect and attention to our culture but not necessarily a reason to vote for someone. Maria elena salinas, i really enjoyed have your perspective. Will you please come back on this show more often . Of course. I would love to. Thank you, don. Thank you very much for joining us this evening. Make sure you stay with cnn for all day coverage of election day on tuesday. We will be covering all day for you. When we come back, the lastminute ruling that could affect thousands of voters in a big battleground state. A big ruling today, big ruling in North Carolina will affect exactly how who can vote on tuesday. Who can vote on tuesday. Here to discuss this, refuse ren dr. William barber, president of the North Carolina naacp. Im so glad youre joining us to discuss this important matter, reverend. You have been fighting Voter Suppression down there including thousands of people stripped from the voting roles. You had a big victory tonight. What did the judge rule . The judge ruled a temporary restraining order saying that these purges, all thousands of these people had to be returned to the poll, or to the roll, had to be allowed to vote and all of this activity had to cease across the state of North Carolina. This is heavy. It is the first case of its type that has challenged this kind of purging where a group allied with the gop simply sends out a bunch of malgs. If they come back undeliverable, they go in and challenge. They deliver them in bulk form and challenge these voters. People find out in the newspaper their Voter Registration has been challenged. Reverend, theres been a lot of talk about the black vote being down. How much of that is, you know, a lower degree of enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton or how much is the stuff we have been reporting on here about a lack of polling places in black areas, not opening polls on sundays and things like that . Well, first of all, let me say to everybody vote in North Carolina. Tomorrow is the last day of early voting. We have same day registration and early voting that we won in the courts. If you need information call 1888ourvote. Don, in our state the gop keeps scheming the court keeps speaking. We have a lot of enthusiasm here. Weve had 60 marches to the polls. Students have marched to the poll, but at the same time we have 158 fewer polling places in the 40 county counties prefd covered by the Voting Rights act than we had in 2012. In some places where we would have, say, 16 early voting sites the first week, we only had one. This is because the gop sent a letter out to local boards of election, told them to implement rules that reflected gop values and not so much the spirit of the law and the constitution. So were battling, john don, against Voter Suppression, but people are fighting. People are coming back. Now the numbers are ticking up because early voting sites have been added. There are more sites now, hbcu campuses, and this victory is going to help in a major way. So it may not be there may be more to that not lack of enthusiasm or whatever. It may just be people cannot get t polls. I want to talk about it before i let you go because i think it is important, because it is not just in North Carolina. Theres a federal judge in ohio issued a temporary restraining order against trump friend and adviser and roger stone and his group stop the steal. That group was mobilizing to send poll watchers into areas. Judge says if it prohibits or did delaying a prospective voter from reaching or leaving a polling place, or training, organizing or directing others to do the same, interrogating, admonishing, interfering with or verbally harassing voters or prospective voters. Questioning voters under the guys of purported exit polling or citizen journalist operations organized and encouraged by defendants stone and stop and steal. With these kinds of Voter Suppression efforts that keeps africanamericans from turning out, do you think it will motivate them now . Well, i believe so. Ive been preaching a message we better vote. When people are working this hard to take something, it must mean you have power. It must mean you can make a difference. We are organizing thousands of poll watchers. We have 1200 Faith Centers that are organized to turn the vote out. We are mobilizing. We put out more than 450,000 robo calls, more than 500,000 pieces of literature in terms of voter education, and were telling people do not be intimidated. You know, the Washington Post did a story i think yesterday that says this traces back to what the klan did in the early 19d00s by trying to intimidation people and suggesting, look, stand your ground, weve been through worse, we have seen worse. We won the right to vote through lynching and people being beaten bloody and killed. Surely we can stand up to somebody that says theyre going to come into our community. Theyre going to come, let em come and watch us vote, but understand were not going to be moved. Were not going to be intimidated and were going to vote. Tonight in Arizona Democrats won a third case, reverend, against Voter Suppression efforts. You have been fighting the good fight for Voting Rights for a very long time. Did you think that back, you know, from the beginning you would still be facing these kinds of tactics now in 2016 . You know, don, thats the sad irony of it. One of the ladies that was challenged in this purge is 100 years old and she found out in the newspaper. This is a woman who came through jim crow. Our lead plaintiff in our case against house bill 589, the monster voting bill, worst since jim crow is 93 years old. I think about my mother, my mother integrated pun schools, 83 years old. She still goes to work every day. She looked at me and said i never thought i would have a child august 30th, 1963, two days after the march on washington that would be facing some of the same kind of challenges we faced then. Then she got that squint in her eye black mamas get and said, but you all better fight and you better not turn around. So my mama told me, don. So weve been fighting, people told us we were going to lose. They told us we couldnt beat them. They spent 6 million of our taxpayer money trying to take the right to vote and abridge the right to vote, but people went to jail. We stood, we went to court an won, and we have to use the victory by voting. Yes. I tell folks, mama said you better vote. You know it. You always listen to mama. Listen, i went to the barber shop and the barber said, i like your hair short. I said, my mama likes it when i have more hair on my head. She wants it, and mama is always right. Thank you, i appreciate it. Thank you. When we come right back, what is going to happen when this long, ugly race is over. Will the loser step aside gracefully or will it be just the beginning . Okay. Four days until election day and the polls show the race is tight. Here to discuss two Prince University professors, cohosts of the podcast politics and polls. Lets get to it. Welcome to the show. Sam, youre first. This is the latest cnn poll, cnn poll of shoals. Clinton ahead by five percentage points. Clin 268 and trump 204. You do your own models. Your math of clinton is what . Currently on the Princeton Election Consortium is 312 electoral votes for clinton and 226 for trump. 312, thats quite a difference from the other polls, 312 to 226. Why is it such a big difference . On my site i take state polls which are most accurate and calculate all of the possibility, which is Something Like 72 quadrillion possibilities and calculate the median. That is the most accurate snapshot of where things are at any given moment. Okay. Right now thats about 312. Were one week out from comeys letter coming out. Back to five point difference, which is what it was before the comey letter. Things have changed a lot in one week. Do you think so my calculation is based on state polls that move a little slowly. National polls like what you cited move pretty fast. Things are coming back and we should expect things to return to where they were about a week or two ago, and that was, again, over 300 electoral votes for Hillary Clinton. Things stayed in some sense about the same. What states would surprise you if donald trump won . I would be surprised if he won North Carolina. I would be really surprised if he won pennsylvania. Im currently thinking hes probably going to lose nevada. So i think those are states that are close, but if i had to guess i would say those are three states that will go for hillary at the moment. Okay. So when you wake up to these kinds of headlines, julian, White National plot election day show of force, election day violence concerns, republicans now vowing total war, hatebased fears driving political anxiety, how does it weigh on us . Well, i worry about it. I think weve seen a lot of serious evidence of both anger in the electorate, belief that the system is rigged and obviously threats of monitoring on voting day, which weve had a history of doing that. It doesnt come out of nowhere. So i think theres serious concern about the tone of the last month and what kind of impact it can have. It also plays into our very polarize ed electorate we already have. So even before donald trump we had a country where some of the electorate doesnt like or trust the other part of the electorate. So you add to it some of this rhetoric, and i think it could be a very toxic environment. You guys had a very Interesting Email Exchange with each other and you can read about it on cnn. Com. Here is what you wrote, sam. You said, i have seen some great work trying to get at where seen some great work trying to get where trump voters come from and the wing of the gop they represent. This was the year that whites became an Interest Group and not the overwhelming group by default, and it is the details of polls that told us about it. What does that mean . Well, if you look at white voters, i had a piece in the New York Times week before last, and you can start seeing divisions even among white voters. So it turns it is Something Like White Nationalists which have always been to some extent associated with the Republican Party, have now come to the information. They are a pretty important part of trumps voice. So you can see people like evangelicals, White Nationalists, whites who didnt go to college. Those are groups that are swinging towards trump. Whites who did go to college are swinging away. You can actually see these groups that are you know, it is the way we would talk about hispanic voters or black voters, and it is interesting to see the subgroups become identity groups. It is part of the polarization of the last 20 years that you can guess how people are going to vote to a large extent by their sub identities. I mean part of what has interested us is looking at donald trump not as a person who steps in and creates a new Republican Party, but actually looking at how the Republican Party got to this point where donald trump would be their nominee, and theres roots to this. Theres different groups that have been coming into the party, different ideas that have been shaping the party for the last 20 years. In some ways you could predict donald trump. Not totally, hes unique and distinct, but you could predict some of the arguments hes making becoming the mainstream. Predict this really wealthy guy who lives in a tower on fifth avenue would become the representative voice for you couldnt predict that but the defining issue for his campaign has been a hard line stance against immigration for example, and thats been something bubbling up in the gop for over a decade now. George w. Bush learned about this when he tried to pass a liberal immigration bill and clashed with his own party. So a lot of the policy issues, and some of the style, some of his style, comes out of republican politics for several decades now. When you see what is happening, you know, you saw president obama trying to calm, you know, the crowd today with the protester. You see, you know, many things happening out on the campaign trail. What about the anxiety level this particular time . Yeah, one thing thats interesting about this is as politics have been more polarize ed, voters have been less persuadeable. The margin between the candidates various less and less year after year if you look at the polls. The clinton over trump margin has only been between two and seven percentage points. A lot appears to be associated with deep emotionality. People are worked up about this. The American Psychological associate has come up with guidelines for dealing with election associated stress. We laugh, but it is true. People feel it. The interesting thing is that as the country continues to become more diverse, right, and less white, does that anxiety increase . Does that you know, the polarization increase . Does it become well, if you look at the different demographic groups, the ones i mentioned but also blacks, Asian Americans have swung really hard from the republican column to the democratic column. Nonchurch going whites, everyone is becoming more polarize ed in one direction or the other. That seems to be something thats probably going to continue after next tuesday election. Thank you sam and julian. Appreciate it. When we come back, an ugly moment from a top trump supporter, what he said about Hillary Clinton. Yday . My doctor. My dentist. Definitely my wife. Wait, i know what i want. Make sparkling water at home. And drink 43 more water every day. Sodastream. Love your water. Alabama mama louisiana you mix that up with that creole make a texas bama betsy mccoy is here, and you were actually dancing to beyonce. Thats beyonce and jay z headlining Hillary Clintons victory excuse me, rally tonight. That was not a freudian slip. Wow. Van jones, betsy mccoy, former Lieutenant Governor of new york supporting trump, and scottie nell hughes, a trump supporter. Go ahead. You guys can smack me. Were going to dance a little. So what did you think of having beyonce and jay z ill ask you because, you know, you got a whole lot of attention for that. Right. Well, i say bees and lemons for everybody. You dont want to go up against the beehive tonight . No, not at all. What did you think honestly . It looked very entertaining. Thats it . Yeah. You think it will make a difference . Look, i think, you know, jay z, to give him credit, people criticized his lyrics including people in the black community. But to his credit he has become more engaged and socially conscious. For him to bring the fire power, Hillary Clinton doesnt have big rallies on her own but she is having a surrogate surge like you wouldnt believe. Tonight was probably the peak of it. They can probably fill a room almost as full with beyonce and jay z as donald trump can by himself. Listen, you and i had conversation yeah, mike drop. You and i had conversation about lyrics and whatever on this show, or on cnn, right . And many people in the community do not agree with that and theyre theres a trend away from that, at least with some of the artist. What is interesting about the Clinton Campaign is they have the two twin weapons, both the black church and hip hop. Those are two very powerful weapons to bring to bear. You were part of the music industry. Do you think it makes a difference . Well, i think that its the lyrics are their own and, you know, the artist is speaking, but the most important thing is their fans. You know, i dont think theyre tearing apart their lyrics. I think theyre feeling the experience. I think when you have events like this, katy perry in philly and pharrell, and what it does is legitimizes Hillary Clinton in a way with a population that got excited about barack obama. Barack obama cant be everywhere here, and this does help. It creates enthusiasm. Before we go to scottie, i want to tell, if we had the moment you dont have to play the sound, but when jay z introduced Hillary Clinton and she is standing in the middle, i think thats the moment you are talking about and i want to discuss that. What is your reaction . Do you think the big artists and names make a difference, scottie . I think in the past i was a part of the rock theres the picture i was talking about. The rock the vote generation, and it made a huge push in the 90s of getting the young vote out there. I think it is a little different now with social media, and i have to wonder are these folks going to be it might have been just as effective if maybe they had loud speakers at the voting boxes on tuesday when theyre waiting for hours in lines and people are there. People will be stinging the whole soundtrack of beyonce and jay z because thats how long the lines will be. And you have to talk about the desperation of this. Why is she bringing them in now . Why all of a sudden theres a panic mode to say, i would think they should have done it to be more effective maybe a few weeks ago, maybe few months ago. Im not sure about that. It is not just the timing. I think they is facing an uphill battle because Median Income is down for africanamericans, Labor Participation rates are down for africanamericans, food stamp dependence up 58 under barack obama for africanamericans. She has to compensate for his bad record with africanamericans. Did you see the job numbers today . I did. Go ahead, van. I dont know, republicans come out and say all of this sort of stuff. You notice what . People feel so terrible about barack obama and the black community that hes 98 support with the black community. I mean i dont think that shes that people in the black community feel terrible about barack obama. By the way, almost 60 in the entire country of approval for barack obama. Here is what i want to say and i want to compare and contrast because it was a big moment tonight, right, when you have beyonce and you have jay z. This was a trump rally today. This is john sununu, a trump supporter in New Hampshire. You think bill was referring to hillary when he said, i did not have sex with that woman . So, betsy, you thought it was funny. That is a quote out of history. You thought it was funny, you thought it was appropriate. His crowd thought it was funny. You think it is funny though . I think it is funny because it reminds Republican Voters that these accusations about Sexual Misconduct have been going on as long as politics really . Would you like it if your husband said that about you, if somebody said that about your marriage . But thats not Hillary Clinton is the one who started it. Hillary clinton doesnt think it is funny either. Marching out these women like ponies on a rope, making false charges against donald trump. Im sorry. Thats not what he said. He was talking about Hillary Clinton and inferring, talking about her attractiveness as a woman. I dont think so. Thats not what he was saying to his audience. Can we play it again, please. You think bill was referring to hillary when he said, i did not have sex with that woman . No, he was referring to say it again. Everyone who doesnt live on mars knows he was referring to monica lewinsky. Well, no, that was exactly that was in the context thats not what he said. The question is right now why are we talking about this . Yes. Because he said it. No, im talking about why is he even bringing it up three days out at the rally . That was my conversation. This is not a conversation we need to be having. Is it appropriate . To be fair, both sides have said, their surrogates said negative and nasty things. We saw in july mark cuban went after donald trump and said he was a version of a off. Sometimes surrogates do not say the right things. Lets face reality. We are three days out from election day. Right now actually everybody at this table, were on the same team because i think the majority of americans are making the decision if theyve not voted by now whether or not theyre going to vote. All of us right now want to encourage people, and by seeing the fighting and seeing these types of comments, all that does is encourage the people that have not been involved to stay home. Thats not a good thing. Amen. But sununu should have led with obamacare because the people of New Hampshire are suffering under obamacare. I have to take a break. I want you see the part i circled. Scottie for the win, what does it say. Or in any way appropriate for the final days of the president ial race. We think alike don lemon. Yes. We will be right back. Score. What the . . . Youre welcome. I just helped you dodge a bullet. But i was just checking my. Shhh. Dont you know that checking your credit score lowers it just be cool. Actually, checking your credit score with credit karma doesnt affect it at all. Are you sure . Positive. So i guess i can just check my credit score then . Oooh check out credit karma today. Credit karma. Give yourself some credit. Sorry about that. Why do protein drinks taste then get worse . Introducing protein shots from 5hour energy. Protein shots from 5hour energy are smooth and tasty, and still deliver 21 grams of protein with 100 calories. Theyre great for workouts. So great that if you dont get up to fifteen percent more reps, more laps, more distance, well give you your money back period. Protein shots from 5hour energy. Great taste. 100 calories. 21 grams of protein. Were back with van jones, betsy mccoy, hilary rosen and scottie nell hughes. Two former aides were found guilty for roles in bridgegate. Chris christie is heading trumps transition team. Is that a smart strategy . I dont know whether Chris Christie knew about bridgegate. I didnt follow the facts closely. He says he doesnt. Hes not running for president and under fbi investigation so donald trump said he knew, he said in a debate . Really, he did . Then i think trump should answer whether Chris Christie is the appropriate person. I dont have those facts. You know what is so interesting is i remember, and we have these conversations many times, how concerned and afraid we were as democrats of a Chris Christie. He really was the person that we thought was going to do what donald trump did. I mean here youve got a guy who, you know right up the middle. Come right up the middle, an outside but with the brash personality, the color, the flash, the quick tongue. We were all getting ready to deal with this guy and he just went down like a lead balloon over this scandal. I often wonder what would have happened if you had a true clash of the titans between a Chris Christie at full strength and a donald trump. I dont know, but i tell you what, democrats dodged a bullet with this guy. This was a very formidable guy. No longer. Here is the difference, and i can see where obvious i was a fan, and you saw conservatives like an coulter were supportive of him four years ago. But the conservative grass movement did not like what happened with the hurricane and the extra funds that never got distributed to the people. And they say it was because of barack obama and the hulg, but that wasnt it. They just did not like to see the wasteful pork spending. The conservative movement that propelled donald trump to where he is was never going to get behind Chris Christie. I think if there was any fear, it would have been marco rubio was actually going to be the real fear and real challenge. That without the gang of eight immigration bill, that right there would have been a different picture. Donald trump said hes going to go to washington and drain the swamp and people are saying, maybe he should have started with Chris Christie. He wouldnt have known until today. Hes waiting to he already said he thought he knew. Isnt it funny we are talking about this is why it is relevant though, because when you look at john sununu versus jay z on stage for their respective peeps, theres no question that republicans will never have the presidency in my view if they do not deal with this, you know, unique white male problem. Oh, wait a second. Thats the biggest problem in this election, male shaming. Im telling you, when i hear this you know what, let me finish and you can disagree with me. If Hillary Clinton is elected president , i feel sorry for every white man in this country. Let me finish and you can disagree with me. Donald trump has not been able to get enough women and people of color, and that is a majority of people in this country, to vote for him. Chris christie might have had a shot. He got elected in new jersey with more latinos, even with some africanamerican votes and College Educated women. That is not where donald trump is. The Republican Party is permanently disabled if they do not broaden this base. Thats why i want to ask you, is it donald trump or a republican white males as if theyre villains, as if they should be at the back of the line, as if they should be accused of things. But wait. What is your problem . I didnt say it at all. I didnt hear that. I heard that. I talk about a voter block. And i hear it again and again, and i hear a man cant call a woman nasty but a woman can call a man just about anything and get away with it. It is in context that is what is happening in this campaign. With all due respect, i appreciate your passion and i dont like it when different groups are put down. Yeah, it is not fair. But i didnt hear anybody say that. I thought she was talking about a voter bloc which everybody talks about. I thought she was trying to give advice for how your party can be more successful. We had several africanamericans on the stump in the community for mr. Trump. Seven or eight. He has a larger Surrogacy Group than any other republican candidate. I think it is moran issue with the Republican Party, and it has to deal with as long as youre dealing with things like government entitlements, things that republicans stand overall against in trying to limit, it interesting the see whether or not they will be able to get into the different diversity groups. I think in terms of hold on. The majority of government entitlements go to white people, so i dont know the point you made but it sounded like you were saying that minorities get no, im saying as long as were talking about government entitlements, talking about things like voter id laws, things that the Republican Party stands for those are things that do not resonate in certain communities. Voter laws are a different issue. Going into the inner cities, talking about the importance of school choice, for talking about economic programs that would lift up people who are mired in poverty. Yeah, well he took a lot of criticism for that as if he didnt have any right to address these groups. No, no, i tell you what. I will tell you very clearly, i think both Political Parties should do a much better job talking about poverty. I think the democrats have not done as well as they might have on urban poverty. I think the republicans have not done as well as they might on rural poverty, which we never talk about. But nobody criticized him for caring. They criticized him for having such a horrific tone and the way that he talked listen, if i ever talked to a white and a record. If i ever talked to white poor folks the way he talked about black poor folks, i dont think i would be well received. We have to go. Ill be right back. Ill be right back. Betsy.
