Grotesque comments so out of touch with reality and so vindictive. It reads like an angry, vindictive person spouting off to a highly discreditable author. Sandra former Trump Deputy Campaign manager david bossy is standing by. We begin with john roberts. Good morning. Not exactly an apology from the president s former strategist steve bannon, more of a clarification of what bannon meant ant where he stands. His statements saying he fully supports the president and his agenda. About his comments, that the meeting donald trump junior had with that russia attorney as being treasonous bannon said the reporter was inaccurate. He has been relentless in his advocacy for his father and the agenda that helped turn our country around. Bannon said his comments about the meeting and other things came from his Life Experiences in the navy and at the pentagon battling the soviet union and that donald trump junior wasnt actually the target of his comments. He said my comments were aimed at Paul Manafort, a seasoned campaign professional with experience and knowledge of how the russians operate. He should have known theyre cunning and not our friends. To reiterate those comments were not aimed at don junior. The president also pushing back against allegations in the book that he is unfit for the office. Not mentally stable enough to do it. Over the weekend quote, unquote. Tweeting rather actually throughout my life my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being like really smart. I went from a very successful businessman to top tv star to president of the United States on my first try. I that i would qualify as not smart but genius and a very stable genius at that. Members of the administration defended the president yesterday. The head of the cia. Those statements are pure fantasy and absurd. The president is engaged. He asked really difficult questions of our team at cia so we can provide him the information we need to make policy decisions. Statements like the one mr. Wolff made are just ridiculous on their face. Whether steve bannon will be damaged, his relationship with the president or his apology yesterday may thaw the ice and get back some influence in terms of trying to put forward candidates for the 2018 midterm elections. Sandra a big weekend for the president. Whats on the president s schedule today . He leaves the White House Bound for nashville tennessee at 1 00. The weather is bad there. He will be the first sitting president in 25 years to address the National FarmBureau Federation annual convention and from there he jets off to atlanta, georgia, where he will watch the georgia bulldogs pull off an upset victory over the alabama crimson tide. You heard it here first. Sandra like everything, john roberts, thank you very much. Bill sandra and i have a bit of a wager on that well share in 30 minutes. I want to bring in david bossie. Former Deputy Campaign manager. Good morning to you. I thought you were the genius, by the way. Far from that but i know that alabama is going to win tonight. Bill hang on. Hang on 30 minutes on that. Steve bannon put out a statement over the weekend, part of what he said on screen. Everything i have to say about the ridiculous nature of the russia collusion invetion. It is a witch hunt. What do you make of this now, david . Im with the members of the administration, like mike pompeo who just find this book to be pure fiction. It is outrageous on its face. First of all i read about half the book and it is quite boring to be candid with you. As somebody who lived through that campaign and the transition. It is just not very well done. There is salacious. Bill i read a good part of it. He makes the case that no one at trump tower thought they could win. Did you ever speak with Michael Wolff first of all . I actually did probably in about june of this year. So last year, about six or seven months ago. I sat down with him for probably 40 minutes and it was a waste of my time. Bill did someone tell you to sit down with him . How did that come about . It was. And i sat down with him. I had really not been interested in sitting down with anybody about any book. Mostly because Corey Lewandowski and i were writing our own. I found very little value wanting to sit with him. What he has turned out, this book, is just the National Inquirer on steroids and thats all i consider it. I just find it to not be a very insightful book. Its full of lies. On Election Night he says Melania Trump was crying in tears. Its the furthest thing from the truth. I stood very close very near Melania Trump most of the evening. The entire family was ecstatic. By the way, in the week leading up to the election when we talk about is a firsthand account how the polling data, how our intelligence had shown us and our Campaign Closing that gap, closing down those polling numbers in those battleground states that we ended up winning on Election Night. Anything can happen on election day but we thought we would win. Bill you came to the fox news center the friday before the election and you went to the other networks as well and made that very case. That did not appear in the book. I dont know why. Back to the question. Who told you if i could, bill, for one second. I outlined in my book my little debate with Chris Stirewalt about North Carolina specifically. Bill who told you to talk to Michael Wolff . It was steve and i had a conversation about it and he asked me to sit down with him. Bill okay. Your office in trump tower was right next to steve bannon. Why would steve bannon bring in such an outsider, lets say, to write . I havent talked to steve about that and i dont know why he would have allowed this guy. But let me say this, i know steve bannon has started his explanation and i think there is still a ways to go in it. However, there are other people who spoke to this person within the white house, within the administration. And they have some explaining to do as well. Bill i would guess after seeing the book that if you dont like this president , you will love the book. Thats right. Bill if you like President Trump you will hate the book. Last comment on that. Thats what Michael Wolff did. He wrote a book to fit the narrative he wanted. Right in the prologue of this book of fiction and lies he says right in the first pages that this is my version of the truth. He doesnt say this is the truth. This is my version of the truth. Thats his words. So you can discount most of what is in it. Bill want to ask you about camp david in a moment. The newsweek headline from over the weekend caught my eye. Trump could destroy the entire human species says yale psychiatrist who warned congress member. You are hearing a lot about mental stability on behalf of the commanderinchief. Where is it coming from and what do you have to add on this . First of all, this is a grotesque attack from the left and from the Mainstream Media who only want to try to delegitimize this president s incredible defeat of crooked hillary and his 304 electoral votes. Thats all this is, another layer because of the issue of the russia socalled collusion has been completely dismantled by this president. There was none, there is none. As far as any of us are concerned of a coordination with russia over our election and our victory. President trump won his election all by himself. And so this is just more of that ridiculous aspect of what the left is trying to do. Bill two more topics. Camp david over the weekend. Fund the government in less than two weeks. Do you think there are enough democrats to get on board on immigration . I hope so. This president has put forward a bipartisan approach to infrastructure and to immigration and other issues. He wants to do things with the democrats. It is nancy pelosi and Chuck Schumer who have been the wall against any making any movement on any of these important issues for the American People. Bill last thing year. Chris christie said the following. Its incredibly frustrating to think to yourself if this guy werent in the race wed win this thing. I believe if trump had not gotten into the race i think we would have won. What do you make of that, david . We did win. Im a little i dont know what that is referring to. Donald trump did win the race. Bill i didnt catch the last part there, buddy, sorry. I dont understand what chris is actually talking about. Is that referring to the president ial race . Bill yes. But donald trump is president of the United States, bill. Im sorry, i dont understand what governor christie, who is a great man and good friend. Bill if donald trump wasnt in his way chris would have won. Thats my error. I apologize. I think governor christie would have been a formidable candidate. He would have been the antiestablishment candidate, the truth talker if you will. I think it would have come down to him and ted cruz. Bill interesting topic for political junkies. Thank you very much. Well see if your prediction comes through later tonight. You say alabama. We shall share soon, thank you, sir, very much for being with us in d. C. Weve had this thing going for a month. In 30 minutes well reveal the conversations during the commercial breaks between smith and hemmer what you need to know tonight for the National Championship. Sandra we have breaking news this morning. Fire at trump tower. Were hearing there have been two injuries after flames are seen pouring out of the roof of trump tower in new york city. Were live at the scene. Bill there was a manhunt underway after a Police Officer shot and killed trying to stop a home invasion. What happened there. Details coming up in a moment. Sandra a major meeting set to unfold between north and south korea. Here at home the Trump Administration makes it clear the u. S. Will not tolerate a nuclear pyongyang. General jack keane is here to weigh in President Trump he knows im not messing around. If something can come out of those talks, that would be a great thing for all of humanity. That would be a great thing for the world. They can even pay their bill beep bill has joined the call. Hey bill, were just phone hi guys, bill here. Do we have julia on the line too . k, well well just phone hey sorry. I had you muted. Well yea lets just phone so what i was thinking ok well well phone yeah lets just go ahead phone oh alright the awardwinning geico app. Download it today. Bill north and south Korea Holding talks for the first time in two years tomorrow, tuesday, this coming as the trump team says the u. S. Policy on north korea hasnt change after President Trump suggested he would be willing to talk to kim jongun over the weekend. Nikki haley said this. There is no turn around. What he has said is yes, there could be a time while we talk to north korea. A lot of things have to happen before that actually takes place. They have to stop testing. They have to be willing to talk about banning their Nuclear Weapons. Those things have to happen. Bill retired four star general jack keane and strategic analyst. Good morning, general. Good to see you doing better. Bill thank you. Does tomorrow matter much on the korea matter . I think we have to see. This is clearly north koreas initiative. I think as our audience may know, they have used negotiations in the past really to buy time for their own technological development. We were in negotiations with them in 2005 when they finalized the development of a Nuclear Weapon. There is a history here. I also think there are other things happening, bill. The International Community has shut down most of the trade with north korea. Likely some back door stuff going on to be sure. But thats never happened before. They are feeling an economic squeeze that theyve never felt before. Gas stations are closing. Long lines at some other ones. Malnutrition, starvation impacting the population. There is pressure here. Bill its january, too. Keep going. I think likely this negotiation may be as a result of the Trump Administrations maximum pressure, policy, more than through advanced technology. Well see. Well see where it goes. Bill a couple points you make that are critical. You can develop the technology faster, you argue, than you can put sanctions in place, true . Well, i only im only saying that because im listening to the director of the cia pompeo said months ago and what he said yesterday on fox. And that is that look at, were only months away from north korea finalizing their Technology Development and by that he means miniatureizing a Nuclear Weapon on top of an icbm capable of reaching the United States successfully through reentry from space. He believes were just months away from that. Economic sanctions as we all know having seen them in other countries as well takes longer for those things to have impact. Were in a race here. Were coming to a showdown for sure. Bill its what they call full capability. Mike pompeo described it this way on sunday. The North Koreans are behaving out of fear. Theyre afraid that america is serious about denuclearizing the peninsula and theyre trying to find a place to reach out. Well just have to wait and see how the conversations go. Bill a very interesting conversation with chris wallace. General mattis meets with the president tomorrow at the white house. In addition north korea believes the United States wants to change their leadership. Internally in that country thats what they fear the most. Would you agree with that point . Yeah. Theyve changed their position a little bit. The grandfather and father believed that pointing nuke weapons at south korea would guarantee no regime change. After they watched afghanistan and libya and qaddafi and libya gave it up. Their policy shifted. Kim jongun said Holding South Korea hostage to Nuclear Weapons isnt enough. We have to hold the American People hostage like russia and china does. Thats when he changed his program. So his backup his stand down position is no regime change in north korea. That is inviolate. Weve used rhetoric, is there anything way to convince him . Possibly through negotiations we could get there. I think thats whats in back of the president s mind. Bill highlevel stuff. Thank you so much. You are a smart man. Well see you real soon. Sandra another big story President Trump gearing up for a trip to nashville, tennessee where he will be addressing americas farmers on how he plans to turn the struggling Agricultural Industry around. Well have a preview with mr. Charles payne on set with us and Oprah Winfrey stealing the show last night. Why hollywood is all abuzz about a possible president ial run . I told some jokes about our current president , jokes about how he was unqualified to be president and some have said that night convinced them to run. I just want to say oprah, you will never be president. When did you see the sign . When i needed to jumpstart sales. Build attendance for an event. Help people find their way. Fastsigns designed new directional signage. And got them back on track. Get started at fastsigns. Com. Bill sheriffs deputy has died after being shot while responding the a home invasion. Happened in Pierce County south of take coma, washington officials saying one suspect fired several rounds at the officer as he fled the scene. That officer was a threeyear veteran of the force with three Young Children at home. This is another reminder that our people go out, they put themselves at risk for everybody else, and too often they are harmed in the process. Bill police say the suspect considered armed and dangerous, a second suspect was found dead at the scene there. Sandra President Trump heading to nashville, tennessee today expected to address American Farmers and lay out an economic roadmap for improving the Agricultural Industry in this country. Those plans reportedly include boosting technology and innovation within Rural America. Joining me now is charles payne. Host of making money with charles payne, thank you for being here this morning. This is a very interesting move by this president , the first time in 26 years that a sitting president has accepted the invitation to speak to this. It is why he was propelled to the white house. You think about the challenges in Rural America. Population decline, wages lagging, educational crisis, access to capital. How do you revive it. You have the opioid and Health Crisis and the elites have ignored this and its great to see President Trump addressing it. Not just going to speak but also with some of these actions they have planned and like to get through. Sandra lets talk about some of the challenges that americas farmers face today. The Agricultural Industry is something im very familiar with. Grew up on the Commodity Trading floors in chicago. You look at the corn, soybean, the agricultural markets. Prices have been depressed. An oversupply on the market. What will the president say that he can do to help them out . Access to capital will be very critical, right . One good thing i will say before i start at all is for the second time in 100 years we saw an increase in 35 and under farmers. So farming might be cool again. I think thats because younger people like organic food and into food and the food channel. Thats important. Now you want to get them back on the farm. Give them access to capital so they can start to farm. Do some of the things like lower regulations and the other things. Healthcare is a huge, huge problem for them as well like any Small Business. Because the majority of these are Small Businesses. Do those things that revive Small Business that make it more attractive. To people starting to be more attracted to the farming industry to begin with and also President Trump will have to grapple with the rhetoric to china. We export so many goods to china on the farm side, agricultural side including soybeans, billions of dollars. He has some challenges but the idea that he is there and ready to face them im optimistic about it. I already see some changes. I see farm wealth there, the estate tax thing will help when you transfer farm ownership from a family members and things. So all the pieces are starting to get put in place. It has been neglected for a long time. Sandra we want the best for americas farmer. When you look at Rural America, on the agenda is talk about expanding access to high speed internet. One of the Biggest Challenges for seeing growth in Rural America. Lets not forget old fashion i had infrastructure. The senate want to widen lanes, repair highways and conserve Natural Habitats for hunters and farmers and public transportation. It is hard to get to the nearest store. There are challenges. Its an area where government can come into play. Areas for business. In the new tax bill just passed tim scott was a champion of a critical piece in there that will help urban areas but also rural areas economically depressed attract businesses with massive tax incentives. Sandra i cant wait to hear what he has to say. And the Nebraska FarmBureau President says we need a president who knows how many financial trouble we are in. Good to see you. Well see you tonight as well. Bill President Trump meanwhile saying he wants to work with democrats on Immigration Reform. Can they bridge the divide over the border wall and dreamers here in the u. S. The legislative director marc short spent the weekend at camp david working on this and more and he will answer that coming up next live. Look, if we dont deal with the security and with chain migration well be back before on a daca issue in a few years. Thats the wrong thing for america to do. Bill 9 33 in new york. 120 firefighters responded to a fire at trump tower. Eric shawn is there, 5th avenue and 56th street. What is happening now . Quite a scare this morning. The alarm came in in the dispatch system reading fire in multiple dwelling, trump tower. Quite a scene when you looked at the top of the roof of this gleaming glass and chrome building. White smoke, a lot, billowing from the roof. The fire broke out in the roof system of the hvac in a cooling tower. It did not break out at all inside the building itself. It took about an hour to tamp the fire down. There were two minor injuries, a firefighter who had debris fall on him and a building engineer. 70 firefighters responded. Emergency center set up in the weather. New York Firefighters responded whether you are at the home of the president or a regular person like us, they did respond to this blaze quickly. Secret service that were monitoring the building noticed the smoke coming from the roof and they called the fire safety director in the lobby. By checking the cameras throughout the building he did say there were flames coming out of a vent on the top of the building. Eric trump tweeted this. There was a small electrical fire in the cooling tower of trump tower. The new York Fire Department was here within minutes and did an incredible job. The men and women are true heroes and deserve our sincere thanks and praise. The trump tower is the crown jewel of the president s empire. He does live on the top three floors, penthouse. The concern is there could be water damage. Mr. President , if you are watching, its fine, but maybe you should call your insurance company. Thats it from trump tower, back to you. Bill the water will freeze. Eric shawn on 5th avenue. Sandra another big story today. President trump doubling down on his desire for bipartisan cooperation with democrats while at camp david. He also insisting that any deal to protect dreamers must include funding for his border wall as well as an end to socalled chain migration. President trump we want the wall. The wall will happen or we wont have daca. We want to get rid of chain migration. Very important. We want to get rid of the lottery system. We want money for funding. We need some Additional Border security. We all want daca to happen, but we also want Great Security for our country. Sandra joining me now is white house director of legislative Affairs Marc Short who spent the weekend at camp david. Marc, thank you for being here this morning. It was quite a weekend. Can you give us any details that came out of that meeting . It was a great weekend. A Good Opportunity for us to make sure that speaker ryan and leader mcdonnell, the president are on the same page about 2018 and what we have to do and spent time looking back at 2017 and recognizing that it really was an historic year to accomplish what we were able to do on tax relief and anwr and regulatory relief and confirming 12 Circuit Court judges and a United StatesSupreme Court judge. Sandra what is setting up to be the big legislative priority in the new year. There are a couple of things. Were anxious to complete a budget cap deal to get a spending bill to rebuild our military. Thats a priority. We face several National Security concerns. The president submitted a budget last february for the resources we need for 2018 and plan to do so for 2019. But because the impasse in congress we have been unable to secure the funding to rebuild the military. Secretary mattis will make his case to republicans and democrats about the need for that. The democrat position has been to say we wont agree to any additional spending until there is a deal on daca. While were anxious to get a deal on daca we feel its not good to hold our troops hostage to protect us over illegal immigration. Sandra from what were hearing otherwise Immigration Reform is a top priority. While youre saying democrats want daca. The president is adamant about wanting the border wall he promised through his campaign through the election cycle. So how or what is the white house strategy to garner bipartisan support . Its not just it is what the president campaigned on but not simply that. We had the custom and Border Patrol give several presentations on the hill. Here is where we need the physical barrier and security. It is where were seeing drugs coming and flowing across the border. Where were seeing the biggest threat to our Border Security and there are places immediate priorities. When they give that presentation even democrats acknowledge how much sense it makes. For political reasons they are looking to put up a wall and say we arent going to do that they are saying they dont want to give the president a victory on. Sandra you dont want to tie daca into funding the government. So the deal involved daca and the border wall, is that what were starting to see shape up . The president has put forward it needs to require Border Security and needs to require an end to chain migration and needs to eliminate the diversity lottery program. Three priorities for tad ministration. Daca has been something that plagued congress for years and why president obama took action which we thought was unconstitutional and the courts ruled it was such. Weve been waiting for congress to address the problem. We need to do this. The president put forward a plan in september and october said here are the principles. Were waiting for congress to give us a return. The president wants daca solved, too. He wants to protect these individuals. We need a plan from congress so we can make progress. Sandra marc, as we continue to see the fallout from this book fire and fury this morning, learning now that steve bannon is showing regret for some of the comments he made along the way that have been published in that book. Im sure there has to be a level of frustration for you working on the legislative agenda trying to get things done and trying to get the white house message out there and this continues to dominate the headlines. You have been with the president since the very beginning, january 2017. Are any of the findings of this book that have been published consistent with your experience inside of the white house such as the president not understanding the weight of his office, or his competency being questioned by senior aides . I have no intention of picking up the book or reading it. The reality is the president is doing a phenomenal job. Ive read excerpts published in papers talk about Election Night and the president not reading things. All i know, when i submit memos he reads them thoroughly and puts on marking and send them back to me. He is engaged and doing a great job for the American People. Sandra he has a big speech to Rural America today addressing farmers. United states. I know you have a busy agenda to start out the week. Thanks for coming on with us this morning. Bill huge weekend in pro football. The saints hold off the Carolina Panthers at home. Great game there. Jacksonville won a defensive battle against the buffalo bills. Where are the highlights . Were looking for them. On saturday tennessee against kansas city. A touchdown pass was caught for a touchdown. Atlanta falcons beat the rams on the road. They advance to minneapolis next week. The nfl rolls on. But tonight is the night for College Football freaks. Sandra you have to be a freak to look forward to this . Bill im a freak about football. The georgia bulldogs rolling in against the alabama crimson tide. Sandra oh boy. Bill that will be a big one. About a month ago sandra said hemmer who will win the National Championship . I will take alabama and the rest of the field for a dollar. Ill stand by that. Ill take alabama and give you georgia, deal . Sandra the bet is on, sir. Cant wait now. Now we set it up. All right. Breaking news this morning coming in out of houston where a missing reporter has been found. Details on how Courtney Roland is now doing. Bill wow, thats good news there. Growing fallout over Michael Wolffs antitrump book. The white house says the Media Coverage has gone off the rails. Our panel reacts to all that coming up next right here. She had apparently texted a friend that someone was following her inside the galleria mall in houston. She was found unharmed at an area near the mall. She has been taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Network has been going 24 7 with all the salacious coverage. It brings a lot of you guys a lot of joy trying to stick the knife in. The reality is page after page after page of the book is pure false. 24 hours of negative antitrump hysterical coverage on this network that led in recent weeks to spectacularly false reporting in your network. The viewers are bill this was something else. Senior advisor Stephen Miller slamming an interview with cnn and jake tapper talking about fire and fury. President trump saying this. I had to put up the fake news and now a fake book by a totally discredited author. Katie pavlich, and mary anne marsh. Good monday to both of you and happy new year. We can still say that. I dont know what you thought about the Stephen Miller jake tapper back and forth. I dont know what you thought about this newsweek headline, either. Here is how it read. Came out over the weekend. Trump could destroy the entire human species says a yale psychiatrist who warned congress members. This actually happened with some members of congress. They were told that the commanderinchief could destroy the human population. How far have we gone . Look, the yale psychiatrist making this act situation hasnt evaluated President Trump. The band of other psychiatrists theyve received to deem the president mentally unfit have not evaluated President Trump. It is unethical and a violation of all of the standards in the medical community and yet they think its okay. And it is actually dangerous from their perspective to be doing this. Weve been through this before. During the Barry Goldwater years in 1964 there was a rule by the American Psychiatric association barring them from evaluating people in general on mental stability if they havent evaluated them. So they violate their own ethics. It is dangerous and unethical and beyond the pale for them. Bill you wonder how dangerous it is for us overseas, too, mary anne. What do you think of whats going on in the back and forth in the media about the stability of President Trump . I think whats fair here is katie has a great point. She is right. Diagnosis from afar isnt appropriate. We have two examples that we can look at. First and foremost in this book which is up for debate. Many people who work with donald trump have expressed their concerns about his wellbeing. Secondly, we also have behavior by trump bill who is that, by the way . Who has worked for the president that expressed concerns about mental stability . You have many people in this book. Who Michael Wolff didnt name them but he certainly pointed to steve bannon as one recently and publicly. We have that. On the other hand you have Donald Trumps words and tweets and actions towards north korea where there are Nuclear Weapons involved. Thats a dangerous game. You now see our allies and others around the world increasingly concerned about trumps behavior on this front with his tweets especially north korea around Nuclear Weapons. Bill its a dangerous game to play and i really did not i read a lot of the book over the weekend. I did not take that from that but perhaps i have not gotten far enough in it. Well bring you back because were getting short on time here given the breaking news. A topic from the left wont go away. Plenty of time to debate it. Thanks for coming on today. Sandra the red carpet last night goes black at the Golden Globes as hollywood stands in solidarity against Sexual Harassment. Its 2018, marijuana is finally allowed and Sexual Harassment finally isnt. Its gonna be a good year. The bold lexus is. Experience amazing. Sandra the red carpet went dark as Hollywood Alisters turn out in all black raising awareness of sexual awareness. Next is carley shimkus. Im sure you watched every minute of this. We knew leading into this that most of the actresses were going to wear black. Did it end up that way . Almost every actress wore black. Three did not. They must not have gotten the memo. The conversation was completely really dominated in terms of the Sexual Misconduct issue surrounding hollywood right now. Seth meyers hosted the show and started things off talking about the issues. Actresses wore black, like you said. Oprah winfrey won a Lifetime Achievement award last night and devoted her speech to Inspiring Women as well. Sandra very powerful. Absolutely. For too long women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth to the power of those men. But their time is up. [cheering and applause] sandra a serious looking angelina jolie. A lot of speculation or calls for her to run for president in 2020. There is always that conversation when you talk about oprah. Will she run for office . One of the most interesting tweets came from nbc. They tweeted nothing but respect for our future president. And they put up a picture of oprah. Some calling that tweet a questionable tweet. Sandra the speculation is out there on that. Not a lot of mentions of the president. Award show ratings have been down lately. Seth meyers said in advance he was probably going to go easy on the political jokes. There were some here and there. Not so much. More jokes about the Sexual Misconduct issues, of course. Natalie portman said something pretty interesting. She was a presenter for a best director and she announced the nominees saying here are our allmale nominees and the camera pans for the guys. Yes, i am a guy. A little issue there. Sandra thanks for most of us who missed the award ceremony. Thanks for filling us in. Bill well see you in the morning, oprah. I will wait. Im bill hemmer. President trump hoping that tomorrows highlevel talks will lead to greater cooperation as america speaks a peaceful solution to the rogue regimes Ballistic Missile threat. We want the regime to understand that unlike before, were intent on resolving this. It is our Firm Conviction that resolving this diplomaticly is the correct answer. This administration is prepared to do what it takes to ensure that people in los angeles and denver and new york arent held at risk from kim jongun having a Nuclear Weapon. That tweet is entirely consistent with that policy. There is no turnaround. What he said there could be a time when we talk to north korea but a lot of things have to happen before that actually takes place. They have to stop testing. They have to be willing to talk about banning their Nuclear Weapons. Those things have to happen. Sandra Senior Foreign Affairs correspondent greg palkot is live in seoul, south korea for us. What more can you tell us about the new talks . Well, sandra, it is just past midnight here on a blowy night in seoul. Just about 10 hours there could be some very historic talks happening about 30 miles from where we are. For the first time in more than two years the two sides, north and south korea will be in formal conversation meeting facetoface on the dmz. Theyll be meeting primarily about north koreas participation in next months Winter Olympics here. It looks like as of today it will happen but there are a lot of details to be worked out. Also to be discussed ways to improve relations between the regime of kim jongun and the south after this terrible past year. A lot of people are hoping for success including the United States. Take a listen. President trump himself from the beginning has said he would talk to kim jongun. He has recently reaffirmed that and said ill get on the phone with him. South korea is opening a channel that can have positive and direct effects to make it easier for the americans to Start Talking to the North Koreans at a senior level. For now the u. S. On the sidelines of these conversations. Sandra whats the reaction there in south korea . You can imagine there is a lot of anticipation for these talks. It is a long time coming. It has been a very tough year dealing with the situation in the Korean Peninsula with the nukes and missiles coming from the north. Theyre aimed at the u. S. Folks here they are caught in the crossfire. There are conservative elements here that are concerned this more dovish government might give away the farm in these talks. There are concerns in the u. S. Washington has been vocal about worries that maybe north korea is trying to drive a wedge between south korea and the u. S. Still, there have been gestures, the delay of u. S. And south korea military drills until after the olympics as well as some warmish words from President Trump. Here is what the locals think. Im very hopeful. Why . Because there is a chance to community. South korea and north korea are so bad right now and if they talk maybe we could get better. I believe communication is necessary whenever, for whatever issue. Even trump is supporting the issue right now from what i know. By the way, monday was the birthday, we believe, of kim jongun. We think he is 34. There was no celebration there. There hasnt been celebration perhaps because of the confusion over his age. Certainly some kind of success in these talks, that would be a belated birthday present. Back to you. Bill back at home now. Congress back in washington, d. C. Lawmakers getting ready to go back to work after a holiday break. President ial retreat over the weekend for republican congressional leaders at camp david talking about how to address their agenda and hope for bipartisan progress in congress. We went into daca and how well do and hope to be able to work out an arrangement with the democrats. I think thats what they would like to see happen and something i would like to see happen. We hope that 2018 will be a year of more bipartisan cooperation. The president s agenda. Bill mike emanuel is live on the hill and knows where this is going. Good morning, mike. Where do things stand heading into a critical week on the budget talks . A lot of the congressional leaders are talking about numbers for a budget agreement, were getting a sense later today of where rank and file members are as house members make their way back to the capitol. Were 11 days out from the government running out of running. The House Majority leader says if they say immigration is in the deal there is plenty more reason for more security. If we dont deal with the security and chain migration well be back before on a daca issue in a few years. Thats the wrong thing for america to do. We maintain the rule of law. Deal with the individuals brought her no fault of their own but have a Border Security so it doesnt happen again. Time is precious with the government running out of money a week from friday. Republicans say the only ones talking about a shutdown are nancy pelosi and some of her allies. Bill well watch all that. What are democrats saying about the immigration component or the possibility during these talks . Democrats are negotiating like they feel like they have leverage. Democrat votes will be needed to pass a budget agreements. Democrats are pushing back on the president s call for a wall. I dont think there is anybody who disagrees we need strong Border Security. And if the president wants to work with us to make sure we have strong Border Security, lets do that. But the idea of spending some 18 billion on a wall that most people think will not do what he says it will do does not make any sense. Were expecting bipartisan talks at the white house on immigration. Well see if they can find Common Ground on enforcement and Border Security at that point. Bill on we go. Mike emanuel on the hill today. Sandra the house and senate gearing up for another big busy week in washington as congress forages ahead with President Trump on a packed agenda at home and overseas. John mccormick is Senior Writer for the weekly standard. Its every week is a big week. Where do you begin . Here we have this deadline to fund the government coming up. But immigration and infrastructure are key issues for many Top Republicans. Where do you start . I think immigration is the most interesting issue just in terms of politics and policy coming up in 2018. You heard President Trump say over the weekend at camp david if they dont get the wall there wont be a fix for daca or for immigrants who came here illegally as minors. You know, democrats seem like theyve done a flipflop on Border Security on a border fence at least. Back in 2006 people like barack obama, Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer voted for an additional 700 miles of fencing. Theyve flipped on that. In no small part because President Trump has made it a priority. Would there be trading of increased Border Security if not a big beautiful wall that President Trump refers to in exchange for fixing daca. Sandra as far as the strategy that we may see from this president when it comes to getting Immigration Reform done, you wonder what the approach will be. Because we saw such a different strategy from this president when it came to tax reform, sort of a stay out of the way strategy compared to the obama one which wasnt successful. How do you think the president goes at it . Whats his role in getting this done . You know, it depends. The president talks a lot about the art of the deal. I guess the big question is whether or not his insistence the wall must happen for a daca fix, is that a line in the sand . Is that a red line for him or simply his opening ask . I think we really dont know that question. Obviously last year he had kind of gone back and forth on this issue. He ended up coming out of one meeting with Chuck Schumer and nancy pelosi seeming to come to an agreement on daca that didnt include a border wall. That was walked back later. We dont know where it is heading. There are other priorities like infrastructure. Some republicans want to take another crack at healthcare. It seems like theyll have a tough time getting unanimity among republicans or getting bipartisan support from democrats in the other priorities. Sandra you heard at the top of the hour cia director mike pompeo talking north korea and how to proceed there. Diplomacy is still the answer for this administration. But he said this is a president that is showing he will do what is necessary to protect the American People. So i just wonder how we should all be looking at these talks between the north and south . Is this a good thing . You know, i really dont know. It depends on what comes out of this. I think our options are not too strong. It will depend much more on china has the ability to pressure north korea in a way that south korea doesnt. I suppose south korea could offer them some incentives, some carrots while china would be more threatening north korea with the stick of sanctions. But well have to see what exactly comes out of here to know whether anything at all is accomplished. Sandra if this is a message on the flip side from the north trying to drive a wedge between the United States and south korea, you wonder should we be open to talks with north korea . You heard the president say over this weekend he was open to talks and nikki haley in that clip that was just played on air said that there would need to be all sorts of preconditions met. They need to stop the testing before we sit down at the table with them. Sandra john mccormack. It is shaping up to be another busy day and week for this administration. Thanks for covering it for it. Bill generate mattis meets with President Trump at the white house. In the meantime senator Lindsey Graham calling for a Second Special counsel. I want to find out if the lead investigator of the clinton email investigation had a political bias against trump or clinton to the point it was a sham investigation. I dont know all these things. I can tell you somebody needs to look. Bill there is Lindsey Graham sounding off as President Trump claims he believes Hillary Clinton and the dnc colluded with russia denying there was any collusion with his campaign. Ahead judge napolitano on where this goes next. Sandra plus a travel nightmare at one of the nations Busiest Airports after a storm and a water main break leaves thousands of passengers stranded. And this. We can look back a year from now the warning signs were there. If this book is to be believed it is credible and frightening for the American People. Bill several members of the Mainstream Media raising questions about President Trumps mental state after a blowout book draws attention to it. So whats this all about . We shall explore in a moment. I spend 18 hours a day seven days a week next to President Trump and continue to speak to him as he has assumed that office. I can tell you this, never have i seen anything like this. Michael wolff hasnt spent any time with the candidate. My experience with usaa has been excellent. They always refer to me as master sergeant. They really appreciate the military family, and it really shows. Weve got auto insurance, homeowners insurance. Had an accident with a vehicle, i actually called usaa before we called the police. Look, call right at home. Get the right care. Right at home. Bill breaking news from the white house. Fox news learning the trump team will not shield 200,000 salvador immigrants living under a temporary protective status. That program provided humanitarian relief for foreign nationals hit by natural disasters. There was a devastating earthquake 16 years ago, 2001 in el salvador, the Obama Administration extended the program for 18 months in september of 2016. That extension expires today. The dhs secretary says getting these people to a permanent solution is a much better plan than having them live six months to 12 months to 18 months. Thats a quote now. This may all wrap into the whole immigration debate. Well watch it for you. News from the white house breaking right now. 10 16 here in new york. Put out the tweet stable genius. It raises serious questions about his mental capacity and impulse control. If we do have a president who has some fitness issues even though he says he is really smart, there are some problems. He has put this question of his competency by responding to it in the way he has in the middle of the conversation. Sandra the media seizing on questions raised by the author of fire and fury about President Trumps Mental Fitness for the oval office leading some trump allies and the president himself to push back strongly against those claims. John sununu is white house chief of staff to president George Hw Bush and former governor of new hampshire. How is the white house handling all of this . Good morning, look. Its absolutely irresponsible for the democrats and press to exploit what is a style that the president has and to understand it all you have to go back and look at his history. Donald trump grew up in queens in the 50s and 60s. I grew up in queens a couple a miles of him. The style was to go into verbal combat with your friends constantly. You argued by the giants versus the yankees versus the dodgers. When you pled stick ball or stoop ball those were additional verbal combat. He goes into the real estate and Construction Business the new york. In that environment you had to pound your subcontractors to get price down and delivery on time. And then he goes on television and what people loved about the apprentice was his combative management style. He runs a campaign the same way. Now he is president. He wants to achieve things for the country. Domestically and around the world. Why in his mind should he change his style . It is his natural style. We may not always be thrilled with some of the language that comes out of that but thats the way he is. And for the democrats and the press to exploit it is irresponsible. Sandra as a result he has his team out there defending those comments such as c. I. A. Director mike pompeo. Here he is. The president is engaged. He understands the complexity and asks really difficult questions. Ive watched him take the information the Intelligence Community delivers and translate that into policies that are of great benefit to america. Statements like the one mr. Wolff made how we all think about the president are just ridiculous on their face. Sandra the president took to twitter to defend all this saying ive had to put up with the fake news from the first day i announced i would be running with president and now i have to put up with a fake book. Ronald reagan had the same problem and handled it well. So will i. Is it necessary that they defend this in the capacity that they are putting trumps allies out there, so many from his team over the weekend out there defending the president. Does that just shine more light on this . Sandra, with the talking points the democrats have been circulating to the media, it is clear that there is an all court press on by the democrats and their friends in the liberal media. The white house is just trying to respond to that. Pompeos comments are extremely important, i think, because i think one of the most stressful moments for any president is that morning briefing from the c. I. A. In which you are really discussing all the potential hot spots around the world. What was more irrational and more a sign of derangement in my opinion was obamas unwillingness to have his president ial Daily Briefing every day. The president , i think, handles that well and i think he handles the substance of issues as well as possible. What i go back to what i said at the beginning, what people are focusing on is style, which we may not all be thrilled with but it is a style that has brought success and he is using that to get additional success for the country. Sandra just a few seconds left. You have to think this is causing a lot of frustration inside that white house while they have an ambitious agenda for 2018 having to spend so much time defending the things said in that book has to be difficult. Last comment. Thats the desire the democrats have in pushing this around to their friends in the media. Sandra thanks for coming on this morning. Bill topic of immigration. Remember this from president bill clinton in office . It is wrong and ultimately selfdefeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years and we must do more to stop it. Bill that was 23 years ago. That was then. Democrats now changing their tune as republicans look for a bipartisan deal. Sandra a Police Cruiser is found in front of a liquor store but it wasnt the cops who drove it there. Details on a wild joy ride next. He had 40 ounces open. Going to take a drink. He gets on the ground and complies and says okay, you got me. Alright, i brought in high protein to help get us moving. And help you feel more strength and energy in just two weeks ill take that. Yeeeeeah ensure high protein. With 16 grams of protein and 4 grams of sugar. Ensure. Always be you. Sandra a Northern California man caught on camera taking a stolen patrol car for a joy ride. Look at this. Authorities say the 22yearold suspect was under the influence of alcohol when he stole the vehicle that was left unattended by officers responding to a call over the weekend. After crashing into a telephone pole he took off again and made a stop at a liquor store for beer. A bystander detained him and waited for officers to arrive. He is charged with dui and stealing a patrol car. Bill chaos at jfks airport after last weeks winter storm. It was a mess. Flight delays were already bad. Then a water main breaks and one of the terminals it looked like a flood out there. Laura engel live from the airport in queens. Chilly temperatures over the weekend, warming up now. How are things at jfk now, laura . Man, the list of problems that piled up for passengers was truly staggering. It all started last week with the bone chilling temperatures and massive snowstorm started to slow things down at jfk. That set off a Chain Reaction of bad news. Really bad news for a lot of passengers. New yorks Busiest Airport had to close on thursday as hundreds of flights from around the country were canceled stranding thousands of passengers, equipment started freezing, bag handling was delayed, passengers were stuck on planes for hours. The situation quickly spiraled and reportedly caused the Port Authority of new york, new jersey to call federal aviation officials to block more International Flights from coming in. Then the disorder and disarray kicked up a notch yesterday when a water main broken side terminal four which stranded passengers and an ocean of luggage was piling up. Initial flooding that took place was quite severe. It wound up with three inches of water on all on 2 3, the southern 2 3 of the terminal floor, arrivals area. The water cascaded out into the frontage and the inner roadway. Ice formed, extremely dangerous to passengers and to others. It was a soggy, freezing mess for sure. The executive director of the Port Authority and new york senator Chuck Schumer calling for a review of the weekend problems which appears to stem from a massive coordination breakdown between the private Terminal Operators and airlines. Frustration levels peaked with passengers trying to get home and get their bags. Let us know whats going on instead of us standing there for a couple of hours and theyre saying 4 to 6 to 8 hours to get your luggage. A lot of us are out of town and kids flying across the country without their luggage for school. They have a mess, disaster. As of last hour there are 26 Flights Canceled today. 81 delays going on right now. A bit of an improvement but not back to normal here as of yet. Bill. Bill tough road. Thank you for that. Sandra youve heard a few stories. The struggle is real getting out of jfk for a lot of people and getting luggage even if they land on time. Hours waiting for luggage. Bill it was really cold in the northeast over the weekend. I think i left my apartment twice in two days. Everybody i know stayed home. Sandra its that kind of weather. Turning the tables on russian collusion, should there be a special prosecutor focusing on the clintons instead of just on President Trump and his campaign . What the president is saying next. Bill also speaking of the russia matter two Top Republican senators now pushing for a criminal investigation of the author of the trump dossier. Do they have a case . The judge is on deck to answer that next. I think your viewers, fellow citizens want an f. B. I. That is biasfree and dispassionate. The other issue is even laying bias aside, did the f. B. I. Sandra the russia investigation back in the headlines speaking before reporters at camp david President Trump reiterating there was no collusion between his campaign and moscow. But also saying that is not the case with Hillary Clinton and the dnc. President trump there has been collusion between Hillary Clinton, the dnc and the russians. Unfortunately you people dont cover that very much. The only collusion is between hillary and the russians and the dnc and the russians. Sandra Catherine Herridge is live in washington covering all this for us. Good morning. Senior democrat in response to the statements over the weekend says the clintons are under scrutiny because of white house pressure. Fox news first reported on the Clinton Foundation it was the subject of a federal investigation in january of 2016. The Justice Department is investigating allegations the foundation used pay to play tactics when Hillary Clinton was second of state. This investigation is led by the u. S. Attorneys office and f. B. I. In little rock, arkansas. Theyre considering whether the foundation violated tax law. Multiple witnesses we understand have been interviewed. On the sunday talk shows the ranking democrat on the House Intelligence Committee said the investigations arent the result of new evidence but rather alleged political pressure. If they are investigating Hillary Clinton it doesnt take a genius to see why. Its not because there is some new evidence that has come to light. It is because they are being badgered by the white house to do it. Foundation also takes the same position that they say any new investigations are politically motivated. Sandra there is new information this morning about the socalled trump dossier and the firm behind it fusion gps. Fox news can confirm t. D. Bank complied with the house subpoena friday after fusion gps lost to keep its financial records private. You will remember that 70 transactions are at issue and appear to cover clients, two media companies, journalists and researchers over a twoyear period. And Christopher Steele who compiled the research for the dossier was referred to the Justice Department late friday for criminal prosecution. This case matters because its the first known criminal referral from congress as part of the russia investigation. Chuck grassley, who has oversight for the f. B. I. And Justice Department and Lindsey Graham believe there is a violation of 18usc 1001 lying to federal investigators. The senators believe the potential violations relate to false statements Christopher Steele made about the distribution of the unverified trump dossier and based on fox news reporting it included a half dozen American Media outlets. Sandra Catherine Herridge on it for us this morning. Bill grassley and graham calling for an investigation into the british spy. Here is what was said the other day. I want a special counsel to look at not only how mr. Steele conducted himself, what the f. B. I. Did with the dossier, whether mr. Ohr, whose wife worked for fusion gps alongside mr. Steele, what involvement did he have in the dossier . I want to find out if the lead investigator of the clinton email investigation had a political bias against trump or clinton to the point that it was a sham investigation. Bill he said a lot. Judge Andrew Napolitano back from his small break, short break. Nice to see you. Happy new year to you. Do we need to investigate Christopher Steele . Start there. Senator grassley makes a good argument and we cant evaluate it because some of the information that has come to him has come in a secret capacity. He says he has seen things which are at odds with what the f. B. I. Says Christopher Steele told them. So that would mean in his mind we havent seen what he has seen and he cant share it with us but he can with the f. B. I. That steele lied to the f. B. I. If so, this would be the same crime that general flynn has been indicted for. If you read the statute carefully it says lying to the f. B. I. Such that it interferes with the f. B. I. s work. So if the f. B. I. Knows you are lying to them and it doesnt interfere with your work, is that a crime . Did the f. B. I. Know he was lying at the time he said whatever he said that senator grassley says is a lie. The other tape from senator graham i agree these things should be investigated. Did the f. B. I. Carefully investigate mrs. Clinton or was the fix in from the beginning . But i dont believe we need a special counsel. A special counsel will exist when there is a conflict between the attorney general and something happening in the Justice Department so that he, the attorney general, cannot manage it and you need an outside manager like bob mueller to manage it. The reason we have a special counsel for russia is because jeff sessions, when he was senator sessions, played a leadership role in the campaign. He cant manage the investigation of the campaign when he is probably going to be a witness. He can certainly manage the investigation of what the f. B. I. Did and didnt do when they were investigating mrs. Clinton. Bill i need a flow chart. Slow you down a moment. You are arguing then is we dont need an investigation to investigate our government. No, im saying we dont need a special counsel, another bob mueller independent of the doj. Bill its pretty much the same thing. If you are going to argue that you have not met the threshold by which you should be able to appoint a special counsel. You disagree with that. Meaning the Justice Department and f. B. I. Have access to investigate other aspects of the Justice Department and the f. B. I. Without a special counsel. These special counsels are dangerous, as manafort has argued. They get out on a tangent and indict people for things with nothing to do with what their charge is. Bill one more question on this. If you are a republican sitting in the hearings getting all this evidence about Text Messages etc. , dont you think something smells and should be looked at . Yes. Bill so that you and i and everybody else, republicans and democrats alike have a trust . Correct, thats the exact reason, bill. There must not only be justice, there must be the appearance of justice in what the f. B. I. And the doj does. Look, the f. B. I. Agents arent choir boys. If they were the bank robbers and terrorists and mobsters would roll over them. If the political opinions are so strong they interfere with their job they shouldnt be on that case. Bill Paul Manafort filed a civil complaint against the case against him the department of justice. Does he have a case . In my opinion no and in my opinion he has exacerbated his legal problems by doing that. Made them worse. If you think that the prosecutor who is prosecuting you lacks the jurisdiction, the Legal Authority to prosecute you, you bring that to the judge before whom your case is assigned. You do not try and drag another judge in on a civil case so that you can interrogate the prosecutor. Thats the wrong way and wrong time to do it. Bill Paul Manaforts attorney is saying you are operating outside the Legal Definition of what a special counsel is all about and investigating stuff that is not relevant to russia collusion, etc. And you just said what a special counsel often does is they go into areas that are where they should not. You make that argument to the judge in your case. You do not ask another judge to interfere with what is going on in your judges courtroom. It just doesnt happen. Bill could manafort get a satisfactory answer based on the case against him now under the law. The civil case . That will be disimmediate it. It should have been a motion to dismiss in front of the criminal judge. Bill do you think manafort is in trouble here . Yes. I think the special counsel has indicted manafort for Money Laundering in hopes he will say here is what i know about the president. Go easy on me. Thats muellers theory. Whether its accurate or not, time will tell. Bill you are fresh. Put him in. Sandra always. Good to see you. Two former democratic president s talking tough on immigration. We are still a nation of immigrants. We should be proud of it. We are also a nation of laws. Yes, we need tougher Border Security and stronger enforcement measures. Sandra but fast forward to today and democrats are pushing back against tougher security on the border. Why the change of heart . Our panel is on deck. We want daca to happen. I think i can speak for everybody. We want john cornyn from texas, we all want daca to happen. But we also want Great Security for our country. Sandra an update on breaking news this morning. The Trump Administration saying it will not shield 200,000 salvador immigrants living under the temporary protected status. This Program Provides humanitarian relief for victims of the 2001 earthquakes. The Obama Administration extended protections for 18 months back in september of 2016. That extension expires today. This all comes as a white house and congress try to work out a bipartisan deal on Immigration Reform. Issues include funding for the border wall, ending chain migration and protections for thousands of those socalled dreamers. Lets bring in Chris Bedford and emily tisch sussman. Chris, its hard to see how parties can move forward when democrats are saying we need a daca fix tied to government funding. And the president saying no daca fix without the wall. The president is trying to negotiate from a position of strength. He still has that. He is going to say that in order to allow daca and allow the amnesty for 700,000 people who are here in the United States otherwise illegally he wants to have a change to the immigration system. He calling for something that some call radical. To copy our cousins to the north and have a canadianbased merit system. The gop is not completely aligned behind that for the president and the democrats are not only 100 against any kind of change to chain migration or even Border Security recently, but they have no incentive to give him a win to midterm elections. It wont be a bipartisan deal if it even gets done at all. Sandra we are going to show you president obama back in 2006 and bill clinton back in 1995 talking tough on immigration and Border Security. Listen to this. Tonight i announce i will sign an executive order to deny federal contracts to businesses that hire illegal immigrants. Let me be clear about this. Were still a nation of immigrants. We should be proud of it. We are also a nation of laws. Will authorize badly needed funding for better fences and better security along our borders. Yes, we need tougher Border Security. And stronger enforcement measures, yes, we need more resources for customs and Border Agents and more sandra that leads to the question. Have democrats changed their tune . Absolutely not. You could include the audio of donald trump saying everybody wants a fix on daca. The reason that everybody wants a fix on daca is because they selfcreated problem by trump as the selfcreated problem today in his immigration rollout. Everything he does is putting more chaos into the system. There is already a bipartisan consensus in both houses there should be a fix for daca. Its unfair for these young people. It doesnt appear the president totally understands the implication. Sandra what youre leaving out of that conversation is that the president is not against a daca fix. He is he created the problem. Sandra he is for a daca fix he wants it tied to funding for the wall. Going around congress as the last president did to grant the amnesty is what caused the problem here. 700,000 people who are given you can stay, does not become three Million People because every person who they know is allowed to come in here. If the line for u. S. Citizenship that you have a relative in the country, thats a really low bar. It sets people up to fail and sets communities up to become more insular and not integrate. If you dont have the skills to succeed in a foreign country youll rely on the Insular Community and have a separation of people and communities that isnt healthy. Sandra last word emily. Republicans are in control of every branch of government and can fix the problem if they want to. If you want to tie it to a border wall lets talk about mexico. Bring that into the equation. Dont start adding in pieces and more chaos to the immigration system to fix a problem they created. Sandra the debate will heat up moving into the new year. Bill jon scott and happening now rolling your way in a couple of minutes. The media frenzy on a new book but is the press focusing on gossip while ignoring important issues facing the country . Major talks between north korea and south korea as the u. S. Stands firm it will not tolerate a nuclear north korea. Hollywood buzzing after last nights Golden Globes award. How oprah stole the show. Nbc posted the following statement on twitter. Yesterday a tweet about the Golden Globes and Oprah Winfrey was sent by a Third Party Agency for nbc entertainment in realtime during the broadcast. It is in reference to a joke made during the monologue and not meant to be a political statement. We have since removed the tweet. So an update to that story. Well keep watching. Bill meantime investors calling on apple to help fight an addiction to the iphone and other devices among children. Dr. Marc siegel professor of medicine and Fox News Contributor you have been looking at this. Why dont you start with usage in Young Americans . Lets focus on teens. 92 of all teens are using a smartphone on a regular basis. Bill, the centers for Disease Control says the suicide rate among teens from 2010 to 2015 is up 31 , with 60 increase among young teen girls. You know why . You know why . Because at the same time that this is occurring, Florida State has studied it and found if you use a smartphone or a device like this for more than five hours a day and you are a teen, your chances of having some kind of suicidal behavior, you heard that word right, suicidal behavior is 50 .
