Steve what does that say to you they cant get people to work in San Francisco as cops so they are going to texas . Its pretty laughable. They have had this Staffing Crisis for at least the last three years that i can remember. As all texans always say dont california my texas. They are going out there looking for other cops because they cant fill the vacancies in california. They cant find called applicants several audits done skipped psychological practices in the background. They are hiring noncitizens now. They are doing everything they can to even lower the standards to bring in new recruits and they just cant simply fill those positions. So, its actually pretty funny. I mean, i can tell you at least three people i know personally who left San Francisco during the pandemic because it was just so wild and Out Of Control that they actually lateraled over to texas to work there. Its texas actually doesnt need to do any advertising. Most of the cops in sf would rather work there.
