That clip that you just played from jim comeys testimony, the meeting that he had where he briefed president elect trump on salacious and unverified information, that is the explosive allegations in the steele dossier happened on january 6th, 2017. The fbi started getting the dossier reports july 5th of 2016. So it was months already by the time they briefed president elect trump. And months further still by the time comey testified and, yet, they never corroborated this stuff. Steve right it. All hinged on the steele dossier. How reliable was Christopher Steele, you know, to the investigator . You know, i think they looked at him the wrong way. And i think part of the big problem, steve, with steele is that they never figured out is he one of us . That is to say is he one of the investigators or is he an informant witness . Because they refer to him in the documentation that they give tout fisa court as if he is a source. And he is not a source. The source is when you go to a court for a warrant, the sources are the people who see and hear things, who make the observations that you are asking the judge to rely on for probable cause. Steele was more in the nature of a case agent who accumulated that information and is usually in a position of bringing it to the court. And it really doesnt matter what the case agents credibility is what the court needs to know is what is the credibility of the people you are asking me to rely on. Steve right. To make this finding that allows you to surveil in this case an american citizen. So, can we even win in a fair debate . And thats why some of my friends on the right are saying no, the old ideas we have of sort of live and let live and what, you know, small l liberalism is the idea that thats outdated.
