Fbi director Christopher Ray and the director of National Intelligence John Radcliffe confirmed that iran is behind emails into voters in four battleground states threatening them. They were said to be sent by the proud boys warning they were coming after those who didnt vote for trump. The intelligence chiefs also confirm that russia has obtained voter information as they did in 2016. The registration doesnt have to be hacked in certain states and is public available the when others the russians or iranians would have to gain access to vendor and state systems. Russian president Vladimir Putin denied any involvement saying russia is only an onlooker. They worked to convince voters they have nothing to worry about next month. There has been litigation filed by democrats in tight states all over the country to change the election rules set by state legislatures. For the most part they are attacks on ballot security measures for absentee mailin ballots. The same has been the case in North Carolina. Part of it has been stopped in litigation that i have a part of. They have tried to eliminate the witness requirement. Thats been ordered reinstated by a federal judge. But will the eliminating or delaying the final deadline for receipt of mailed in ballots until nine days after the election coupled with the possibility of dumping ballots into contactless drop boxes outside of election places is terrible. As one of the dissenting judges in the Fourth Circuit of appeals there are endless lawsuits attempting to change these rules. And apparently its because people expect to lose and maybe they want to give an opportunity to see things change in the days after the election. But its not the way we should run elections. The lawyers will be filing a request to the United States Supreme Court today for a stay, an injunction to reverse that result.
