And on our borders where we are doing record, record stoppage. And we are supporting our Incredible Police and Law Enforcement. Well insure the forgotten men and women of our country are never forgotten again. For too long politicians have tried to centralize authority among the hands of a small few in our nations capital. I see them all the time. Bureaucrats think they can run over your lives, overrule your values. Meddle in your faith and tell you how to live, what to say, and where to pray. But we know that parent, not bureaucrats know best how to raise their children and create a thriving society. And we know that families and churches not government officials know best how to create a strong and loving community. And above all else we know this, in america we dont worship government, we worship god. [cheers and applause] [crowd chants usa ] our religious liberty is enshrined in the very First Amendment in the bill of rights. The american founders invoked our creator four times in the declaration of independence. Benjamin franklin reminds his colleagues at the Constitutional Convention to begin by bowing their heads in prayer. I reminds you that we are going to start saying Merry Christmas again. [cheers and applause] inscribed on our currency are the words in god we trust. But not only has god bestowed on us the gift of freedom, he has also given us the gift heroes willing to give their lives to defend that freedom. In every struggle against evil throughout our history as Americas Service members huddled around camp fires and sought refuge in fox holes, they called on their creator for support. In world war ii when general George Patton that was a real general. We have some pattons today, too. I found them. Maw mad dog mattis. And he doesnt like doing a lot of talk. But isis, its a whole different ballgame, folks. They are going fast. But when patton ran into a problem he couldnt solve, he knew what to do, he prayed. Frustrated by rains stalling the advance of his third army across europe in early december 1944, horrible weather. Patton asked an Army Chaplain to come up with a good prayer for the weather. Patton then had a quarter million copies of that prayer printed and distributed to the soldiers of the third army just before the battle of the bulge. That was a big one. 500,000 american soldiers fought that pivotal battle of the second world war. One of those soldiers is here with us tonight. His name is harry f. Miller. Where is harry . Where is harry. Harry. Stand up, harry. [applause] like many of the heroes of his generation, harry wasnt exactly straightforward about his age when he enlisted in the army reserves. Shame on you, harry. He was just 15. But he told them he was old enough to join. Then he immediately asked for a transfer to active duty. 6 months after he enlisted private miller was on his way to europe to fight for our country. A couple of months after that he was in the freezing cold. How cold was it . Cold. He said really cold. And driving rains of belgium with the 740th tank battalion attached to the 82nd airborne. As the battle of the bulge began harry got his orders to go find tanks at a weapons storage facility. He said when they arrived, they found nothing but tanks. But they didnt let the tanks stop them. Out of what spare parts they could find and through sheer grit and resolve they somehow managed to repair three of those tanks and get them all set for action and ready to fight. Before long those three tanks were nose to nose with the lead elements of a german ss division. And that was tough stuff. In a short time those tanks knocked out the first three tanks of the enemy and the entire German Division retreated. They left. Its true. Thats good, harry. Thats good, harry. [crowd chants harry] harry fought through the battle, and the rest of the war, an went on to serve our armed forces for 22 years, retiring as a Senior Master sergeant. Tomorrow harry will the 89. Tomorrow. Will be 89 tomorrow. So on behalf this very large group in this beautiful building. Senior Master Sergeant miller, happy birthday, thank you for your lifetime of service, and thank you for helping out. Thank you very much, harry. [applause] to every veteran with us tonight from every branch of the military, army, navy, marines, air force and coast guard. I want you to know well always keep our promises to those who have kept us free. Since my first day in office we have taken one action after another to make sure our veterans get the care they so richly deserve. We published wait times. Those wait times were bad, werent they . But, boy, are they Getting Better and fast. We published them at every va facility. Delivered sameday Mental Health services at every va medical center. Nearly doubled. The number of veterans given approvals to see the doctor of their choice. [cheers and applause] and as i said, just signed, brandnew legislation went through the house, went through the senate, and i signed it so fast. We didnt want to take any chances, right, harry . To insure every va worker is held accountable for the quality of care they provide to our veterans. Tonight we are deeply honored to be joined by a number of Wounded Warriors from walter reed. I was over there recently. These are incredible people. The enthusiasm and spirit and some of them were hurt really badly. They have got so much spirit and they love this country so much. These american heroes risk everything so you and i could live in freedom. They gave all they had. Everything for their comrades, their country, and for victory. They like winning. We like winning again, dont we . On the old days we used to win. Instead of just keep fighting and fighting. Well win again, folks. We applaud their strength, their courage. And we really support that incredible will they have. The will is so strong and thats what they want to do, they want to win for you. Thank you all very much for being here. That was great. One such hero is captain luis avilla. Luis. We love, luis. Wow. [applause] luis is here tonight along with his wife claudia. Thank you, darling. Thank you. Luis served in the army for 16 years. He held many different positions. Five combat tours, and he was always a leader, and everybody always said, i did some checking on you. You did a great job no matter where you were, no matter where you went. On his fifth deployment he bravely led his company on a mission to recover vital intelligence. During this mission his vehicle was struck by explosives. He was gravely wound and lost his leg. He received a purple heart for his sacrifice. Well never forget the courageous sacrifice you made for all of us in this room tonight and for everyone in our country. Thank you, luis. [applause] i want you all and all of our incredible Wounded Warriors to know, you have an entire nation of more than 300 Million People behind you, and our nation is getting strong again. Did you notice . Getting strong again. Our heart and our prayers are joined with yours. Your legacy like our gratitude will live forever and i want to thank you. Thank you very much. And claudia, thank you very much. Thank you. I also want to speak to all of the people you thought i forgot in our Faith Community who are here with us tonight. Veterans and nonveterans alike. [applause] you are never going to be forgotten. You will never be forgotten. My administration will always support and defend your religious liberty. We dont want to see god forced out of the public square, driven out of our schools or pushes out of our civic life. We want to see prayers before Football Games if they want to give prayers. [applause] we want all children to have the opportunity to know the blessings of god. We will not allow the government to censor sermons, to restrict the free speech of our pastors and our preachers and the people that we most respect. Like robert. [applause] that is why just as i promised, pastor jeffress and other faith leaders, i just signed an executive order following and this is something that make me very happy and very proud. Following through on my Campaign Pledge to stop the Johnson Amendment from interfering with your First Amendment rights. [applause] long i am president , no one is going to stop you from practicing your faith or from preaching what is in your heart. We want to hear him. One of the most grave and dire threats to religious freedom in the world today is the threat of terrorism and specifically it just seems its called radical islamic terrorism. And we cannot allow this terrorism and extremism to spread in our country or to find sanctuary on our shores or in our cities. [applause] we want to make sure that anyone who seek to join our country shares our values and has the capacity to love our people. [applause] together we will protect our families, our nations, and our borders. For those who are curious, well build the wall. Okay . Because we understand that a country is more than just its geography. A nation is the sum of its citizens. Their hopes, their dreams, their aspirations. America is a land rich with history, traditions and values. As we have seen tonight, what a group this is tonight, america is also a land rich with heroes. Though we have many stories, we all share one home, and one glorious destiny, a destiny thats Getting Better and better every single day. Whether we are black or brown or white, and you heard me say this before, we all bleed the same red blood. [applause] we all salute the same Great American flag. [applause] and we are all made by the same almighty god. We face many challenges. There are many hills and mountains to climb. But with the strength and courage of the patriots assembled in this room tonight, well you see we are doing it all the time, we are scaling those summits within and well get the job done. [applause] well all prove worthy of this very important moment in history, and well prove worthy of the sacrifice that our brave veterans have made. As long as we have pride in our beliefs. Courage in our convictions and faith in our god, well not fa fail. As long as our country remains true to its values, loyal to its heroes, and devoted to its creator, then our best days are yet to come. Because well make America Great again. [cheers and applause] to my friend pastor jeffress, and to paula and louie and to harry and to luis, and to everybody in this room and everybody in this country, thank you for your great support. I appreciate. I will not let you down. To all of our incredible veterans to be with the people in the military, and to evangelical christians who came out in record, record numbers, thank you. Have a wonderful independence day. God bless you, god bless our nations veterans. God bless if the United States of america. Thank you very much. Thank you. Judge jeanine President Trump wrapping a major speech in washington, d. C. Honoring our veterans. Hello and welcome to this special 4th of july weekend. The president just finishing a powerful event honoring our veterans including patients at the walter reed medical center. Joining me is former navy seal who served two towrts of duty in iraq. Carl higbie. What is your reaction . Powerful, powerful. You can make the point that President Trump lost the popular vote by 5 but won the vette ran vote by almost 30 . And he pays it back. He genuinely cares about those who serve their country. Judge jeanine the speech was passionate and hitting on those themes of good versus evil. When he said there is no other place i would rather be on my first 4th of july as president is with you veterans. And he meant it. 100 . People who say they dont trust him. They dont know him and havent met him. I know his kids, you know his family as well. He genuinely respects people in uniform. He knows the things he achieved in life wouldnt have been possible without those serving in uniform. Judge jeanine another theme he hit that was so powerful, his belief in god, and one of the most significant quotes was in america we dont worship government, we worship god. Then he continued by talking about the fact that no one was going to meddle in their faith and our faith and this is a country found on the basic judeochristian ethics. As we goford, what do you as we go forward, what do you think he will do for the veterans in this country . We saw him pass the veterans accountability act which we saw no support under obama. This is something that has been long overdue. 3040 years we needed this reform. The biggest thing is allowing the military to do what the military does. You can see what he has done with secretary mattis with the pentagon. He has allowed the military to operate as a military force, not a diplomatic force. If you want to be diplomatic, send diplomats. But he allowed us to do our jobs. We didnt have that in the last administration. The military overwhelmingly supports that. Judge jeanine carl, for you, you were a navy seal. When you think about the 4th of july and independence day, what does it conjure up in your mind as a veteran . Its a very humbling experience. You are one of the few people who can get me out of the fireworks. To me its such a humbling experience when i see those fireworks going off it has such significance. It brings tears to my eyes. I sat with my daughter and explained how important it is to be an american. We are the envy of the entire planet. Nobody has been able to achieve what we have. Its truly special to celebrate this 4th of july holiday. Judge jeanine let me say on behalf of so many americans, thank you for your service and thank you for what you have done. Next more reaction to President Trumps memorable speech to veterans and faithbased voters at the Kennedy Center. Jerry falwell jr. Is standing by with his take back in a moment. Marianne 28 people recovering after a shooting at a rap concert in little wok, arkansas. Its believed there were multiple shooters. 25 of the wound were injured in the shootings. Henry bello, the man believed to have opened fire at a new york City Hospital friday. He went to the hospital in search of a colleague he was going to hold responsible for derailing his career. Im marianne rafferty. Now back to justice with judge jeanine. Im marianne rafferty. Now back to justice with judge jeanine. Judge jeanine President Trump just wrapping a moving speech in d. C. To veterans. Joining me by phone with reaction to that peach and more, counselor to the president , kellyanne conway. Good evening, judge. What your reaction to the president s speech . This is why the president ran in the first place. He honored christians and veterans. Last year, maybe last july, mr. Trump when he was running put the whole challenge to this country when he said sure i have a 10point plan to reform the veterans administration. And more importantly if we dont take care of our veterans, who are we as a nation. Tonight at the Kennedy Center hes honoring the veterans. And he conveyed the message, saying whats in your heart. The administration will always support and defend religious liberty. We dont want god forced out of our public square. We should be comfortable to say prayers before a meal and ate called out an 89yearold world war ii veteran which was remarkable. He talked about education and the role of parents. He said parents, not bureaucrats know best how to raise their children. Why is that important . Washington, d. C. Is the place where the federal government believes in invasive and intrusive. The president is saying individuals and parents know whats best for their children. Judge jeanine it seemed to me the president , hes always at his best when he talks about the military, talks about Law Enforcement and religion. These are three things he promised. Hes delivering on. That he will continue to deliver on. As someone of faith, for me to hear my president , its so unusual these days, you want to say a prayer before a Football Game . Its reassuring. But the president is at this point has i think made it clear what his strengths are. And he needs to stay focused on speeches like this and not get crazy with twitter. I love that he speaks directly to the people on social media. We appreciate the you are covering the substance. Because the other things talked about tonight, he mentioned all the promises hes keeping on the Supreme Court and judicial restraint. You are one of the few shows that even bothers to connect veterans with the information they need and deserve. The veterans hotline and the accountability and protection act. Nothing short of remarkable. Then i think he got raucous applause when he talked about how he worshiped god, you dont worship the government in this country. That encapsulate who he is. Judge jeanine thats the most powerful line in the speech. In america we dont worship government, we worship god. Senator Mitch Mcconnell said hes going to stick with his plan to simultaneously repeal and replace obamacare despite the president s call saying lets repeel it and replace it later. What i interpreted as sarcasm was Mitch Mcconnell saying its not easy making America Great again, is it. Is mcconnell showing himself to be that old entrenched establishment republican fighting with the outsider or am i wrong . The president and leader neck connell speak daily. They are in close contact. And i have great confidence that this republican majority that the country elected, house, senate, white house, governorship, state legislatures, they want action. They dont want divided government. They are saying couple with a deal. Another option is to go back and look at what the senators voted on in 2015. Senator collins voted for specific healthcare principles, namely to get rid of all the taxes attached to obamacare. To slow the growth on the expansion. Slow it down so that governors have more flexibility and as secretary price pointed out, the senate bill would increase funding by 71 million on immediate dade next decade. For those who lie about that, they are denying they are lying about that. We feel confident something will pass this summer. The president will get a bill on his desk. Judge jeanine my money is on that as well. I was surprised by Mitch Mcconnells comment. But the president hit it out of the park tonight. He was solid and passionate on all his promises he has been delivering on, and tremendous respect for the veterans. The president was with his family enjoying a well deserved day or two and he flew right back to washington to make good on that promise to, the veterans at Kennedy Center. Judge jeanine when he said there is no place i would rather be, he meant it. Seeu soon, happy birthday america. Take care. Judge jeanine faith, a huge part of the president s speech. Here i am working my canister off to clean and shine and give proven protection against fading and aging. He wont use those copycat wipes. Hi. Doing anything later . Ooh, the quiet type. I like that. Armor all original protectant. Its easy to look good. I hate the outside. Well, i hate it wherever you are. Burn. Burn. Is that what the kids are saying now . Im so bored, im dead. You can always compare rates on progressive. Com. Oh, thats nice, dear. But could you compare camping trips . Because this one would win. All i want to do is enjoy nature and peace and quiet its not about winning. Its about helping people find a great rate even if its not with progressive. Ugh. Insurance. When i said peace and quiet, did you hear, talk more and disappoint me . Do do do do skiddly do do camping with the family [ flame whooshes ] fixodent plus adhesives. Theres a denture adhesive that holds strong until evening. Just one application gives you superior hold even at the end of the day fixodent. Strong more like natural teeth. Judge jeanine President Trump gave a moving speech honoring veterans at an event cosponsored by the First Baptist church of dallas at the Kennedy Center. Jerry falwell, jr. Joins me with reaction to that and more. What was your take on the president s speech . Im impressed how the president never misses an opportunity to honor our veterans, to honor Law Enforcement. To talk about the reasons he got elected to bring back jobs and strike fair trade deals, immigration jobs. But what i really appreciated was his he was not bashful about talking about faith, his christian faith. Hes all about religious liberties and god. Hes interested in defending the liberty of christians, not just muslims like our last president. I never heard a single liberal attack any plus slim church for not having gay weddings and for not honoring the rights of women and transgenders. But this president is going the extra mile to honor people of faith. I even appreciate the left, its incredible to watch how they havent gotten over how donald trump win. When he hits them back on twitter, i actually appreciate that. In the last two generations we have gone from movie stars like john wayne and Clint Eastwood to johnny depp. And from Douglas Macarthur to wesley clark and colin paul. Im glad to see we are finally getting back to a bold leader who is willing to speak his minds like, judge je jeanine. Judge jeanine he made reference to the Johnson Amendment and the executive order saying they are not going to enforce it. But besty devos i believe did something that affects organizations like liberty university, the Largest Christian University in the country. I just yesterday she stopped the enactment of the gainful emfloiment rules that were supposed to go into effect today. It would have caused bureaucrat i can nate mayors for our students. 1,031 students will not have to fill out extra forms filling out something too the government that they already submitted. You probably havent heard about it anywhere in the news that she did it and we appreciate it have much. Judge jeanine no surprise we didnt hear about it in the news. But thanks so as much. I speak with parents who know all too well why we new bike . Yeah, cause i got allstate. If you total your new bike, they replace it with a brand new one. Thats cool. I got a new helmet. We know steve. Switching to allstate is worth it. The future isnt silver suits anits right now. S, think about it. We can push buttons and make cars appear out of thin air. Find love anywhere. Hes cute. And buy things from, well, everywhere. How . Because our phones have evolved. So isnt it time our networks did too . Introducing americas largest, most reliable 4g lte combined with the most wifi hotspots. Its a new kind of network. Xfinity mobile. Judge jeanine my next two guests know all too well the critical need for the legislation the gopled house passed this week. Her daughter was cut short a day before her 16th birthday in new york. Good evening. I apologize ahead of time. Segment is short because of all thats been going on during the show. But this week the republicanled gop in the house passed the immigration bill, kates law. Trying to defund sanctuary cities. As a parent who lost a beautiful flower. Whats your reaction to the passage . I think its a great bill. When i first heard about it, i told elizabeth about what kates law is what. We both were happy cities are being basically denied money for the services of basically harboring criminals. Judge jeanine and not working with other Law Enforcement. You have been through so much since september. The thought of this happening to other parents and, you know, legislators voting against kates law, how does that make you feel . They should try a little bit harder. Families need to come together and come teen agreement to fight for what you know, fight for your kids. Judge jeanine last thoughts before we go . I always think its a great thing. But we also cannot be divided from our local Law Enforcement to help get these criminals out. Judge jeanine hopefully you are healing a little bit since the last time we were on. Thanks for being with us, and thank you so much for watching us. See you next week. To all those veterans, thank you, god bless. We are all grateful for what you have done for us. Good night.
