Whoa what is next for cnn . On the show, Rush Limbaugh predicted the end may be near. Could donald trump be the end of cnn . What a legacy that would be. I think that is what the Trump Administration is doing with many in the media. They are like cats. He has got this little red laser light and its just causing them to make fools of themselves and everybody is laughing at him as they are crashes into the walls and the doors. Tucker cats with a red laser light . Awesome. We dont know what will happen next at cnn but whatever happens this is a network in crisis. That happens to companies from time to time. Many people are exposed to extreme and journalism news lately spreading hate about an entire class of american workers. Got that . Americaners workers. Which is that its a Russian Investigation with no russians. The only russian anyone ever mentions is the ambassador who is like strolling around lunching all over the district of columbia. He is the only sinister russian in this story. Its a Russian Investigation without any russians. At some point it will be like one of those russian goals Russian Dolls that the tourists like. You open the doll and there is a smaller doll. Then you open up the last russian doll and there is nothing. At some point which i think the bulk of the American Public have figured out already, there is actually nothing. We are down to the last minuscule russian doll and there is nothing inside when you open that up. Tucker so you think that that is a critique of cnn but i think cnn would call that hate speech. Do you think it should be allowed . Do you think you are making them feel unsafe by criticizing them . They actually are advancing the argument now that trump pushing back against the media, which nobody likes, nobody likes. I say this as someone in the media. And youre in the media. You know that. Bella hern don and priscilla, both 15, binge watch the show and hanged themselves shortly after. Does the shows creator deserve credit for the death or is it lied ludicrous . Gina is joining us. Maybe the show is reprehensible, which im willing to believe but not responsible for actions that people who watch it take. What is your view . Well, i think there one thing we need to note here that a lot of people are unaware of. That is the fact that the part of our brain that controls the rational decisionmaking part. Remote control to entertainment center. That part of the brain isnt developed until sometime in the midtolate 20s. So to children, the temperatures up until their mid20s think largely based on their Emotional Center of their brain. Making less rational decisions and less able to take in information and make good decisions. So, you have a show like this that does two things. One is it says you cant trust adults. Right . Adults might not help you. The second and perhaps the more dangerous thing the show does is equate suicide with revenge. Anyone who worked in suicide and psychology knows that suicide is not revenge. Suicide hurts the people you love the most and doesnt hurt the people who hurt you. So the glorification of those two things in this series are extremely dangerous. And i do think that netflix at least needs to be aware of this. Tucker surely they are aware but they dont care. You made the point that young people have problems making rational decisions. This show was not made by young people. It was made by adults trying to get rich from it. How do you evaluate their decisionmaking putting Something Like this on the air . I honestly dont think its good. I dont think they should continue with a second season. What can be done . Well, of course, there are legal courses of action from the families when the daughters have committed suicide. There are suicides in other countries they believe are based on this series. We have proven again and again in the studies, tucker, the incident of suicide increases about 20 times for those considering it if suicide is in any way depicted on television. Not just teenagers. This is dangerous. My question for netflix how many children are worth you continuing this show . A question that netflix should take a serious look at. Tucker suicide is obviously a way far end of the continuum. But there is a lot of space between that and normal and you have to wonder what is the effect on the majority of the viewers . Like why would you put Something Like this on the air that is obviously subversive in a bad way . Nobody says anything. And targeting the teen audiences. The edgier you can be as far as hollywood is concern and we have seen it displayed this week in grand style. The edgier you can be the more you will get rating and eyeballs. I want to give a caution, too, to people who want to fault the parents of the two girls that committed suicide. I want you to know if your children have a smartphone they can get the series on netflix without you knowing it. So there is no, there is no point, tucker in saying we as a society cant be held accountable for imposing this sort of rhetoric that is dangerous on impature minds of people in their late teens and early 20s. Unfortunately, tucker, people are defending themselves with guns in baltimore. That is where the murders come from. Rival gangs are arm and they are shooting at each other. Im not so sure its time to revisit the gun issue. Tucker that is kind of my point, though, is gang members dont care what laws you pass, of course, because by definition they are scoff laws. But normal people, law abiding people on the street dont want to break the law. Now they cant defend themselves. So if the gun control measures in place work why did the murder rate go up after they were passed . Well, i cant respond to that anomaly. It may be an anomaly. I dont know. I know citizens in the city of baltimore are allowed to keep guns in their homes just like anybody else in this country. Its a constitutional right. But our Police Commissioner wants to do, kevin davis is to say if you wear, carry or transport a handgun, and you dont have a permit to do so, then you ought to be subject on the second offense to a felony. And be incarcerated for a certain length of time. He believes that the people who are carrying guns openly on the streets are the ones who are creating the violence. These are the people we want to get to. Get off the streets and hopefully start dealing with some of the violence on the streets. Tucker so wherever i talk to politicians where the exception of you from baltimore they have been focused on national issues. We spoke to a City Council Man from baltimore a couple of months ago and he was all spun up about federal immigration policy and sanctuary cities and all this stuff. I asked him on point, your city has a lot of problems. Real problems. In your city. Why arent you focused on those . He seemed more intent to make the grand statements around the world thinking globally and all that. Have you noticed this trend . I saw the interview. It was very entertaining. Good job. But no, the folks i work with in the state legislature who represent Baltimore City, the city council members, including our president jack young and our mayor kathryn pew are fully focused on this issue. Look, when a person is murdered, they have a family. There is a funeral. Most of us go to the funerals. In some cases these are people, children of people we know. It hits us directly. Washington post does Investigative Journalism and finds a whole slew of fake Time Magazine covers are posted around Trump Organization casinos and golf courses around the country. Five out of the 17 he owns have these fake covers displaying him with photographs that w photoshopped and titles made up. Dates made up. Time magazine lost its mind. They have demanded of the Trump Administration they remove the fake covers. They issued a sort of howto guide on the website telling americans how to spot fake Time Magazine covers. They should write a story for cnn. The weird thing about the story is he has been on the cover quite a few times. Tucker here is why you win. When she came to that college, it was failing financially and academically. When she left it, it was in better shape than it had ever been. Tucker that is a crock. It defies relate. Better than ever . When she took it over it wasnt falling apart or discredited. Within the first four years of the presidency, two dozen staff and the faculty left the school. Massive number for a place that small. Sanders fired a popular literature professor who denounced her for harassment and unethical treatment of the faculty. The Student Government association described the campus environment under here as toxic and disruptive. That is not good. That is the high point. James sanders apparently has the same mass tutor who taught her husband economics. That is not good if you listen to his economics plan. She says in donations increased to the school but any gains were more than offset by her disastrous decision to borrow more than 10 million from a bank to buy a massive new campus that the school did not need and couldnt afford. Sanders assumed the new campus would be paid for with surge in enrollment and big donations. In fact, its possible she was so confident in her plan that she fudged the numbers on the loan application. The f. B. I. Is looking in it now. That is the point of the investigation, apparently. Naturally, the money and the students never materialize, perhaps because sanders had thrown the economics in turmoil. From the moment that the loan cleared Burlington College was doomed. Sanders was fired in 2011. Three years later they were dipping in the Scholarship Fund to keep the lights on. The same year the schools creditor put it on probation because of the bad finances. Finally in 2016, the place closed. In a statement blamed the whole thing on the crushing weight of the debt from jane sanders expansion.
