Ensures people will watch his speech tonight. Heres the thing. You have to give donald trump one thing, hes good at p. R. He just grabbed the attention of the entire world by going down to mexico and he ensures that practically every american paying attention will be looking at both this statement and his speech tonight. Isnt that exactly what he wants, this pivot on immigration thats more inclusive. Hes going to have people actually watching it, so hopefully having the biggest maximum effect. John thomas, republican, is donald trump taking any risk with this . Yeah, he is taking a risk. Hes taking a risk that he goes down there and the meetings doesnt go well, and the president rebukes him, or theres an unscripted meddss annumessage, but the juice is worth the squeeze. And this trip is smart if it goes as trump thinks it will go, it undermines the main attack on donald trump that he doesnt have the temperament to play in the sandbox with those who he may not see eye to eye with and he may say we disagree on a lot, but there are things we can agree on. For viewers just joining us, on the lefthand side of your screen, you see the room where donald trump and Enrique Nieto will be making a statement together. There are two podiums set up. They will be making a statement about their meeting. Now, ron, it occurs that Hillary Clintons not there. She was invited, shes not going at least not now, she may go in the future, but shes not there now s. Th now. Is that negotiation ative for h . You would think it would be pretty easy for her to go down there. It shows donald trump is wellilg to put out the olive branch. Hes been lessaggressive in being involved in this the military everywhere. If he can repair relationships even with mexico, even with mexico, who he said hes going to make pay for a wall, who he said are sending immigrants that are doing bad things in america, if he can repair relationships or at least have a positive meeting where they are at least talking afterwards, how can that not be a positive . The only way this goes bad if theres some sort of surprise where the president turns to the mexican president turns to him and says something bad. Its very, very smart p. R. This is probably another work of kellyanne conway, who has turned this campaign away. Now turning to the democrats, do you think its a negative Hillary Clinton is not there . Absolutely. She said shell speak with her at an appropriate time. He has a lot of work to do to repair this relationship, and a lot of work to do to convince the American Public that he hasnt had some hate movement against the people there, so i think this is just what he has to do. And in this is the repair damage and the spin that hes having to do, then thats what hes going too have to do to go down there, a lot more work than she does. He has stolen the political initiative, a quick arranged deal, hes there, he meets with the president. Theyre going to make a joint statement. Thats seizing the political initiative, isnt it . And if he comes out and said we have a relationship he needs to in this scenario. If he comes out and says, we have started a relationship, the meeting was cordial, thats a win, isnt it . Its a win when hes 500 steps behind her in the fact he needs to repair this relationship. Our standing in the world is obviously very important and right now most people distrust that donald trump is going to be able to be qualified to be the commander in chief. Its pretty slim. So i think at this point, we really do need to see this as the step forward for him, but hes 500 steps back so im not sure that i see it as anything but that. Now former mexican president , v vincinte fox had to say, lets roll tape. He is not welcome to mexico by 130 million people, we dont like him, we dont want him, we reject his visit. I dont understand why president pena has offered this opportunity. I think its nothing more than a political stunt. Lets not forget fox is in a Different Political Party from the current president of mexico, president nieto. He did say political stunt on the part of the president and maybe on the part of donald trump. Ron meyer, political stunt, what do you say . Sure its a little bit of a stunt but its a brilliant hail mary and i love our fox says, ill meet with trump myself, come on down, trump, ill show you the way, but then when he meets with the head of the other Political Party e all the sudden hes not welcome in mexico. Good grief, vin cinte fox accident h, how transparent can you be . Its a way of posturing to the american people, and donald trump does need to come from behind a little bit but thats why you have to pick your battles and this is a battle hes choose tonsen to pick, a hy hes decided to throw and hes going to complete this hail mary and it will be something to watch next week in the polls. You sound gungho for this, as if this is a home run almost, is it . I havent been a gigantic fan of donald trump and a lot of people know that but i have to be a fan of p. R. Im in med ia, and ive run red politics and it has to do with whos running the campaign, not so much with donald trump himself. This is good news for republicans up and down the ticket. Our candidates can only run so far behind the top of the ticket, so if donald trump cleans up his campaign a little bit, its good for all republicans. Is he cleaning up his campaign . Is this the new trump, john thomas . Hes clearly looking, saying he has an election day problem. He has to expand his base and he knows that and hes going to start moderating some of his rhetoric on administration. It is a bit of a new campaign, but its a riskier move than what were talking about. Just like john mccain, when he was running for president , and suspended his campaign to go to washington to fix the economy, and when he didnt, i mean that was a major blow to the campaign. These things do have associated risks, not to say trump shouldnt do it, but look, this entirely event is not scripted, and i think trump left a lot of the American Press core behind because he wants a little tighter control of the narrative. I think it will end up working out for him and well see tonight kind of how he spins his internal meeting but this is a step in the right direction for the campaign. Im going to interrupt because i do believe i see the two principal figures approaching the podium. There are two podiums set be the the there. And there is the president of mexico, mounta mexi mexico, president nieto, and we will listen in. We dont have the audio yet, and i trust well get an english translation when president nieto speaks. When they start to speak and we have audio youll hear what we have to say. This has been a hastily arranged meeting and i was told it took about five days from when the first invitation was issued and the actual acceptance and the finalizing of details came only last night. So this is a very quickly arranged meeting. Donald trump flew down this evening, at the president ial palace in mexico city. Now theyre out of the meeting, lasting almost an hour and a half, now set to begin the joint statement. I do not believe they will take questions, although that could happen; we shall see, and i dont know what theyre going to say, thats for sure. Translator donald trump you have heard my respect to both in public, just as it was done with our president and our friend, barack obama, the next american president will find in mexico and its government, a neighbor that wishes to work constructively to strengthen even more the length between our nations and together face our common challenges. I believe that there are great opportunities for both countries if we decide to take advantage of them together as true friends and Good Neighbors and strategic allies, parting from a relationship that is based mutual respect. Even though we may not agree on everything, i trust that together we will be able to find greater prosperity and security without losing sight of the fact that freedom and independence are the basic principal of everything that we value. Anything that is any new policy that needs to be renewed and reviewed, every once in a while we must review what has worked and what has not, and what areas are improvement on both sides of the border, how can we alleviate misunderstandings. In virtue of the spirit, i sent a letter to both president ial candidates, to mr. Hillary clinton and to mr. Donald trump, proposing therein, a gathering where we can talk in a constructive fashion about the joint progress of our countries. Today, i have met with mr. Donald trump and i hope to do the same with Hillary Clinton soon with whom i have had the pleasure of discussing in having gatherings in the past. We might disagree on several issues but your presence here, mr. Donald trump, shows that we do have fundamental common ground. Our countries are important, one to the other. The United States is highly important to mexico, just as mexico is highly important for the United States. We share the border where theres greater traffic of persons where every day in illegal fashion over one million persons cross the border and over 400,000 vehicles. Trade between our countries goes over 500 billion per year. We innovate and together we manufacture, and in early iterm national security, the daily cooperation between our government is more important as time goes by in order to face the challenges in a complex world. Mr. Trump and i had an open and constructive discussion. The purpose of our meeting was to get to know each other and to Exchange Ideas and visions about bilateral relationships of our countries. In terms of trade, mr. Trump and i talked about my condition that Free Trade Agreement of north america has benefitted both the United States and mexico. Exports from the United States to mexico are close to 200 billion per year and according to the chamber of commerce of the United States, more than 6 million of american jobs depend on experorts to mexico. Our country buys more from the United States than from germany, spain, france, italy, japan, and the United Kingdom together. Ma many jobs in the Manufacturing Industry in the United States were sent to other regions of the world, precisely because together, we have developed a competitive manufacturing platform in the north american region, in average, 40 of the ex port content of mexican exports, isnt on american territory. We must Work Together to avoid that sources of employment might leave our region. None the less, this does not mean the Free Trade Agreement of north america doesnt have room for improvement for the benefit of both. Temperatu telecom is an agreement that was signed 22 years ago. The next president of the United States will find in my government an ally with the willingness to contribute a road to modernize telecom with a view to make it more effective in generating quality jobs, betterpay jobs in both countries. I do not believe that trade must be considered to be an effort that gives no results where for one to win the other one must lo lose. On the contrary, it must be viewed to generate value to both parts and makes our region in north america the most competitive and innovative in the world. As to border issues, my vision is very clear, the border must be transformed into an acid for our region. We have made great developments in the last few years working very closely together with the Obama Administration, and with the upcoming administration, we must fast track this effort so that border between the u. S. And mexico might become more efficient and safer. However, an important number of americans or United States citizens see the border as a great problem because undocumented persons and Illegal Drugs cross to the United States, undocumented immigration from mexico to the United States reached its highest point ten years ago, and has been reduced consistently ever since to the point where its negative in net terms, even so we know that there is still a joint challenge including the increasing number of nonmexicans who cross through our country in order to reach the United States, there therein creating great human crises. This is a vision truly incomplete of the border because it does not take into true account of the influx of weapons and money. Every year, thousands of weapons and millions of dollars come into mexico illegally from the north, strengthening drug c drug cartels and others that obtain profits from the sale of drugs in the United States. This flow must be stopped. What we need is an integral approach as to the border that might address the issue of undocumented traffic and the flow of illegal legal drugs, weapons, and money, cash money. Many lives could be saved on both sides of the border if criminal organizations stop receiving the amount of weapon and cash that right now promote their criminal activity. Illegal flow of weapons, drugs, and cash money in both directions has multiple negative consequences on both sides of the border. Our border must be viewed as a joint opportunity, both countries must invest more in it, more in infrastructure, more people, and more technology in order to make it more efficient and secure. And even though i do recognize the fundamental right each of the country has to defend its border, i also believe that a true effort of collaboration between neighbors and allies is the most effective road in order to achieve this. I also expressed to mr. Trump that to make Mexican Border more secure for our Central American neighbors, it is of great importance to mexico and the United States. Likewise, in terms of national security, mexico and the United StatesWork Together to face the challenges that this complex world present to us every day. Homeland security from both countries, Exchange Action and information independently from the result of the Upcoming Elections in the United States, the new american and United States administration can expect willingness and collaboration from the Mexican Administration in order to make the north american region more safe. Mr. Trump, i would like to reiterate what i mentioned to you in private a few moments ago, my priority as the mexican president and my administrations priority is to protect mexicans where ever they may be, that its my responsibility and i shall continue to abide by it, with great passion, the Mexican Community in the United States make daily contributions to their work, their talent and creativity, that contribute to the process psperity and advanc of the United States and mexico. Mix mexicans in the United States are honest and hardworking people. There are persons that are decent, that respect family, life, and community, and that respect the law. As such, mexicans deserve everyones respect. Lets continue to Work Together to solidify the relationship between mexico and the United States based on mutual respect, trust, and joint attention to the challenges that we share in common. I shall conclude by reiterating that Mexican Government shall be completely respectful of the electoral process in the United States. I recognize, acknowledge your decision to have a constructive dialogue, a dialogue is the proper road because it bridges gaps. Dialogue is the road because it enables us to reach greater understandings. Thank you very much. Lets now hear from the republican candidate, for the presidency of the United States. [ speaking mr. Donald trump. Thank you. It is a great honor to be invited by you, mr. President , a great, great honor, thank you. We had a very substantive, direct, and Constructive Exchange of ideas over quite a president of time. I was straightforward in presenting my views about the impacts of current trade and immigration policies on the United States. As you know, i love the United States very much and we want to make sure that the people of the United States are very well protected. You equally expressed your feelings and your love for mexico. The United States and mexico share a 2,000mile border, a half trillion dollars in annual trade, and 1 million legal border crossings each and every day. We are united by our support for democracy, a great love for our people, and the contributions of millions of mexicanamericans to the United States. And i happen to have a tremendous feeling for mexicanamericans, not only in terms of friendships, but in terms of the tremendous numbers that i employ in the United States, and they are amazing people, amazing people. I have many friends, so many friends and so many friends coming to mexico and in mexico. Im proud to say how many people i employ. And the United States first, second, and Third Generation mexicans are just beyond reproach, spectacular, hardworking people. I have such Great Respect for them and their strong values of family, faith, and community. We all share a common interest in keeping our hemisphere safe, prospero processro prosperous and free. No one wins in either country when human smugglers and drug traffickers prey on innocent people, when cartels commit acts of violence, when illegal weapons and cash flow from the United States into mexico. Or when migrants from Central America make the dangerous tratrac trek and it is very, very dangerous it is the United States without legal tlor authorization. I shared my strong view nafta has been a far greater benefit to mexico than it has been to the United States, and that it must be improved upon to make sure that workers and so important, in both countries benefit from fair and reciprocal trade. I expressed that to the United States and that of the United States that we must take action to stem this tremendous outflow of jobs from our country. Its happening every day. Its getting worse, and worse, and worse, and we have to stop it. Prosperity and happiness in both of our countries will increase if we Work Together on the following five shared goals. Number one, ending illegal immigration. Not just between our two countries, but including the illegal immigration and migration from central and south american s and from other regions that Impact Security and finances, in both mexico and the United States. This is a humantarian disaster, the dangerous treks, the abuse by gangs and cartels and the extreme physical dangers and it must be solved. It must be solved quickly, not fair to the people anywhere worldwide you can truly say, but certainly not fair to the people of mexico or the people of the United States. Number two, having a secure border is the sovereign right and mutely beneficial. We recognize and respect the right of either country to build a physical barrier or wall on any of its borders to stop the Illegal Movement of people, drugs, and weapons. Cooperation towards achieving this shared objective and it will be shared of safety for all citizens is paramount to both the United States and to mexico. Number three, dismantling drug cartel and ending the movement of illegal legal drugs, weapons and funds across our border. This can only be done with cooperation, intelligence, and intelligence sharing, and joint operations between our two countries. Thats the only way its going to happen. Improving nafta, number four. Nafta is a 22yearold agreement that must be updated to reflect the realities of today. There are many improvements that could be made that would make both mexico and the United States stronger and keep industry in our hemisphere. We have tremendous competition from china and from all over the world. Keep it in our hemisphere. Workers in both of our countries need a pay raise very desperately. In the United States, its been 18 years 18 years. Wages are going down. Improving pay standards and working conditions will create better results for all and all workers in particular. Theres a lot of value that can be created for both countries by working beautifully together. And that i am sure will happen. Number five, keep manufacturing wealth in our hemisphere. When jobs leave mexico, the u. S. Or Central America and go overseas, it increases poverty and pressure on social services, as well as pressures on crossborder migration, tremendous pressure. The bond between our countries is deep and sincere, and both our nations benefit from a close and honest relationship between our two governments, a strong, prosperous, and vibrant mexico is in the best interest of the United States, and weill keep d help keep for a long, long period of time, america together. Both of our countries will Work Together for mutual good and mystery frontally for the mutual good for our people. Political initiative president , i want to thank you. Its been a tremendous honor, and i call you a friend, thank you. Reporter [ inaudible ] excellent. Tremendous respect for the president. We were together for quite sometime, and i think excellent i was with as you know senator sessions, and we had a tremendous, more than an hou hour, i think it went very good. Reporter [ inaudible ] no, not at all. We want whats good for the United States and the president wants whats good for mexico, and in sitting down and talking we both realize weve realized this from the beginning its good for both of us better for both of us, actually. Gentlem yes, john . Reporter [ inaudible ] we didnt discuss that. We didnt discuss who pays for the wall. We didnt discuss. Reporter [ inaudible ] would you like to take back some of those comments about the wall . Well, ill start, i mean, nothing like an easy question like that. We did discuss the wall. We didnt discuss payment of the wall. That will be for a later date. This was a very preliminary meeting. I think it was an excellent meeting, and i think were very well on our way. A lot of the things i said are very strong but we have to be strong and we have to say whats happening and there is crime as you know, a lot of crime and problems, but together i really believe well solve those problems, the president and i, and we will get them solved. Illegal immigration is a problem for mexico, as well as for us. Drugs are a tremendous problem for mexico, as well as us. Its not a oneway street and we will Work Together and we will get those problems solved. Mr. President . Translator i should say just as i have said before, the Mexican Government has complete respect for the electoral process in the United States. I invited both candidates, which received a Quick Response from president ial candidate trump to talk about the bilatteral issue, and in addition to the meetings we have highlighted, we talked about the relevance, in terms of the relationship of both countries, how important the Strategic Alliance is between both countries is, and i also expressed as to the great responsibility that i as the mexican president , have to defend the mexican people, to defend the mexicans here and out of mexico. Have there been misinterpretations, or statements that unfortunately had hurt, and impacted mexicans in terms of the perception that the candidate expressed in which i absolutely respect that the mexican people have felt insulted by certain comments, but i was certain that his genuine interest is to build a relationship that might lead us to provide both our societies better conditions, that the willingness proposed by the mexican president to gather with both candidates for the presidency of the United States, is in fact on that premise to be able to, together, build but mostly on the basis of respect, muse youll respect between our nations. I have shared this with the president ial candidate trump. Ladies and gentlemen, we thank you for your attendance. This concludes the event and we thank all of you for your attendance. It wrapped up. It lasted just 33 minutes. Statements from both the president of mexico and donald trump, let me briefly summarize what they had to say. It was a cordial, cooperative mood and that came across from both sides. President nieto started off by saying, the border must be transformed into an asset. The flow of weapons and money into mexico must be stopped. That was a corrosive thing in mexico and he wants to make the border more efficient and safer. It was a very cordial statement but firm from president nieto. Then came donald trump who started with, what a great honor it was for him to be in mexico meeting with mexicos president. He then went on to five principles, five goals i should say, that he came up with, number one, end illegal immigration. Number two, secure the border and it is a sovereign right to build a barrier or wall. He used the word. Number three, end the flow of guns and drugs in both directions. Four, improve nafta, but keep industry in our hemisphere, thats both mexico and in the United States, number five, keep manufacturing wealth in our hemisphere, mexico and the United States. Work together for mutual good. And in arizona, we have a sheriff with us, listening to us, and former state department officia official. Sheriff, do you first. Has donald trump helped or hurt by what you just heard . I thought this was fantastic, to be quite honest with you. In Law Enforcement oftentimes we try to deifescalate the a motio and theres been a lot of anger justified in the United States and to see donald trump in this capacity acting as a world leader, i thought was fantastic. He was not only respectful. He was very thoughtful in his intentions for our country. Mutual respect. Also, respecting the sovereignty of both nations, understanding we both need security and lets Work Together to achieve that. So this was a huge win for donald trump and huge win for okay. Our relations. David, how do you see it . I think it was good and bad for trump. On the bad side, this is a massive capitlation by donald trump on his policy on mexico. He said before he wanted to rip up nafta, now hes talking about some modest amendments to nafta with n cooperation with the mexican president. He said hes going to build a wall and make mexico pay for it. You just heard him admit he didnt even raise the issue of making mexico pay for it. A complete capitulation. David, thats not a capitulation if he doesnt actually discuss paying for the wall with mexicos president. Thats not a capitulation, is it . In all due respect, that is a fundamental part of how hes talked about mexico and the wall. He said he will make mexico pay for it, and goes to mexico, drops in for a visit, has a chit c chitchat and doesnt mention it . Its an act of desperation, because he didnt talk about it, you say it is a capitulation. What do you make of that, sheriff . Thats not the case. What i really enjoyed is the president of mexico pointing out and hes right, that there have been guns coming from the United States down to mexico fueling this mass murderers and the destabilization of mexico and low and behold we find out it was president obama and his former attorney general, eric holder, fast and furious, 2,000 weapons that we participated in arming the most violent criminals in the western hemisphere, the drug cartel. So hes got a point there. David, Hillary Clinton is not there. Whether she goes to meet mexicos president in the future, we dont know, but she was invited. Donald trump stole the political initiative. There he is. Hes right out front, everybodys covering this. Hes taking the political initiative. There are some positive. He doesnt embarrass himself, he stuck to the speech as written. He seems to have gotten along well with the president , but lets not ignore hes completely changed his policy and for those who support trump because of his policies on mexico and are looking for a much stronger and forceful policy from donald trump on mexico against immigration building a wall, making mexico pay for it, tearing up nafta, they dont have that anymore. Thats not the donald trump we saw today. We saw completely different donald trump. A donald trump whos motivated by his sagging poll numbers and trying desperately to make a change in his policy to appeal to mexicans in the United States. We do have some video of some protests which took place close to the president ial palace. I believe this is in mexico city. Protests against donald trump. Theres rather limited number of people out there however. I realize this was a quicklya ranged visit, but i think that is the extent of it, that we can find on our cameras. You talk about a dozen people. It looks like, sheriff, that it didnt generate an enormous opposition the way many people thought it would. Right, and not only that, its important to note mexico is our neighbor. Its arizonas largest trading partner. America is one of our top, and look, donald trump has been a very successful businessman and hes addressing the top issues for our country. And the president of mexico said right there, he invited Hillary Clinton, he invited donald trump. Donald trump even though he has differences in opinion with the leader of mexico, he went there to his palace in a respectful tone and talked about the issues, outlined carefully, the priorities for america and i think that shows clear lead leadership. Steven is with us, also watching the joint statement from president nieto and from donald trump. Your reaction, please. You watched it all the way through. What do you come away with . Well, i mean theres this was Donald TrumpsFirst Party Leader appearance, and sapossib future president and given that it went fairly well for him. As your guests said earlier, there were no major mistakes. He theres something in diplomacy where you put tough issues off until you absolutely have to deal with him. He said we didnt deal with who is going to pay for the wall. He said were going to put off the issue of paying for it until later and the mexican president said yes, and i affirm im here to speak for mexicans and thats how you delay thorny issues and build a relationship essentially. So i think you know it may not have been a home run, but it was a very solid hit for trump. I didnt pick up any hostility on either side. I i picked up a very not cordial relationship, but cordial relationships from both sides. David, youll give that . Yeah, this was very cordial. It appeared to be very much orchestrated. I think a deal was worked out on exactly how this would go between the Trump Campaign and the Mexican Government. They agreed to do public statements and agreed to take public questions, so that was a victory in the event he could negotiate that on a very short timeline but you have to again look at the change in policy and in that sense its really a win for the mexican president because the trump policy before was very antimexico. Mexican people were very upset about it and the mexican President Committee awes away o win for policy. Sheriff, a comment on mexico . We wouldnt be talking about this issue if donald trump didnt make it front and center. 8d÷]n8 o4woka thats your subject, thats your wheel house. What do you make about this commitment to at least from donald trump at least, to ending illegal immigration and the problem must be solved quickly. Well, you know, obviously its a really high bar, and were going to learn tonight exactly the specifics for how he says were going to get there and well be able to evaluate exactly what he does and how many of an effect thatll have. Look, when youre talking about illegal immigration, the big bill that came through the senate didnt get through congress overall, but came through the senate three years ago, the experts who analyzed that bill said even that with all it had in there, including legalizing illegal immigrants, and shutting down the extra border flow, even that would solve only about 50 of the problem going forward. You would still have about 50 of the current immigration going through otherwise. Its a really tough subject to crack. But the cooperation of the Mexican Government, as the mexican president said, there has been a major shift. Mexico is no longer will responsib responsible for the vast majority of these folks. Gentlemen, thank you very much for being available on such a very important issue. We appreciate all of you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Appreciate you. Natures bounty a clinton email double whammy. The state department saying around 30 newly discovered Clinton Emails could deal directly with the benghazi attack. And, the New York Post reports clinton sent classified information on a private server after she left the state department. To foxs Catherine Herridge with the latest, catherine . Reporter stuart, not all of the 30 benghazi emails, we were told from the former secretary servers are duplicates and already posted on line, but thats not what the state department knows to be true. Were still working our way through it. We have not confirmed that either they are actually responsive to the benghazirelated requests, or that they are duplicates of material that weve already had, were still working our way through that. Hillary clinton signed this statement under oath last august telling a federal court she handed overall of her government records but fox news is told some of the new emails come from the first week after the 2012 attack, and thats the same week thensecretary clinton was at Andrews Air Force base where the caskets of four americans were flown home. The state department wanted until the end of the september to review these 30 records and check for classified information and whether theyre duplicates but the federal judge, an Obama Administration appointee, questioned why it would take so long given the number of records involved and ordered to update the court next week. I think the significance here is that judges who have really been prodding the clinton people to turn these documents over and to answer the questions under oath are not judges who are appointed by conservative republicans. Separately, there is a new clinton email from 2013, the rnc, who sued for the document from the state Department Says it shows that she sent classified information after she had left the state department serving as secretary there because parts are all blacked out using that b1 code, which is the classified information code. Today, the state Department Said that was not the case, that information was updated after the fact to classified but there really is a key data point, im sorry i dont have the email right there on the screen, but theres something called the declassification date and that is always fixed at the point at which it was determined to be classified and in this case, its ten years after the document was sent. So thats more evidence really it was classified at the time not after the years after the document was september. Thats more evidence to indicate it was classified at the time, fought after the fact, if can you follow all of that. We will, we have, thank you very much, indeed. You are welcome. As katherine reported, state Department Lawyers claim they need until the end of september to review 30 emails potentially related to ben ghazi before they release them to the public. Up with month to review emails. That seems like a very long delay, judgment, can you explain . Well, i cant explain it, except i think the federal judges about whom katherine just spoke agree with you, there is no way it takes 30 days to review 30 emails. Look, stewart, it is apparent that when mrs. Clinton left the state department and took with her all of the dim tal and all of the hard copies of all of her emails and personally decide which ones would be returned and which runs would fought be returned, she failed miserably returning back to the government what is the governments property, which is her workrelated emails. That number now exceeds 15 thauchlt emails she failed to return. Is the Justice Department going to change its mind and decide there is a half dozen statutes she violated . Probably not. Will a president trump, if elected. Up leash his department to prosecute her . Probably some if she beats donald trump, would she pardon herself and endure the political barrage that will come . Who knows the answers to these questions in. Thank you very much, complicated stuff, you cut right through it, thank you, sir. Hillary is back on the campaign trail today after a major fund raising blitz. But she hasnt held a press conference in 270 days. Maybe that number is contributing to this number. Her unfavorable rating is 56 . Thats the highest she ever had. Is there a relationship between no preconference of 270 days and rising unpopularity . I think its the connection of a couple things the emails the controversy surrounding the foundati foundation. The fact that its summertime, we seen her bounce flat line now, when you look at the registered voters in that poll, shes almost even with trump on the issue of unfavorability. So these are two very unpopular candidates. Unfavability rate is rise sfg. That is correct. I think its a combination of all those things. And avoiding the press. Duping she will avoid the press all the way through to the november election . I think the calculation is we have 70 or so days to go. Shes ahead in the national polls, fought favorability. Places like ohio, its close, but shes ahead. Pennsylvania, shes ahead. Some of these other key states, they think theyre in a solid position where they can keep doing what theyre doing and make the calculation that you have to make the race about donald trump. And the Trump Campaign is making a similar calculation, because im making this about Hillary Clinton, because they are so both unpopular. They know these numbers that we are looking at here. Thank you very much for keeping it short, but its a big news day as you all know. More on the meeting between donald trump and mexicos president. Thats just ahead of trumps big immigration speech tonight. Well, donald trump is set to make his big immigration speech tonight and it follows this joint event moments ago between trump and mexicos president nieto. Katie, i know you watch this all the way through. Did donald trump politically win or lose from that joint appearance . I think he certainly won an even on the basic issue of the president nieto pointing out he gave an invitation to Hillary Clinton and gave it to donald trump and donald trump responded right away. Its fought clear whether Hillary Clinton responded. Hes willing to learn if there are disagreements. I think based on the remarks, we will hear a lot more in his stooech speech tonight. We will hear about trade deals, how our partnership with mexico, our 30 largest part fer can bench they have a variety of issues. We know they talk about the war, donald trump said the border is a sovereign right. You have a sovereign right to build a barrier or a wall. He used that wall. In a question and answer session later. He said, they have fought talk object about who paid for it husband that . If was asked if they discussed the wall. He said, no, the occupation has a right to a sochty. Mexico has a wall on tear southern border. Its not something they can say countries shouldnt too. Tonight trump has to clarify. Maybe we will see parts of the wall be virtual and there are some mountain, maybe we should reassess where we put the wall. Tonight he has an obligation to be sure where he stands on the amnesty issue and Border Security issue on top of trade some a trifecta here. Image is very important when donald trump goes to a foreign country, 70 odd days before the election. Duping he looked president ial in. I think some i think standing there as an unelected before hes elect, if that were to happen. He does look like he is ready for the job. Based on the disagreements in the past, it was an opportunistic moment to have a confrontation t. President of mexico gave him credit for coming to the table and trying to fight the impulse, that he has said. Thank you very much for joining us. Oh, please remember, neil is back on tuesday, september 6th. Hell be kick off his return on 12 find on the fox business fourth quarter. Then again right here at 4 another p. M.
