universities for help, the board of regents now says it wants the state to give them another few-hundred- thousand dollars.the regents say they need the money for their office and staff. during the last legislative session, lawmakers cut their budget by 300-thousand dollars. they decided to instead, to give the money directly to u-i, i-s-u and northern iowa. initially, to make up the loss, the regents asked the three universities for reimbursements. now, they're preparing to ask lawmakers for what they cut and a little the cedar rapids school district is paying out nearly 350-thousand dollars to former administrators in the district.former washington high school principal ralph plagman will be given nearly 170-thousand dollars as part a separation agreement with the district.plagman resigned last month, after a substitute teacher admitted to having a sexual relationship with a student. that teacher, mary haglin, says the school found out about the relationship in february and after an investigation, the district decided to let her go. the in the resignations of washington's activities director, michael johnson and the district's human resources director jill cirivello.the school district released the separation agreements for all three former administrators to cbs 2 news. in addition to plagman's 170-thousand, johnson will recieve 135- thousand and cirivello 43- thousand--all over and above their retirement benefits. in exchange, the three have agreed to not sue the district. that is cbs 2 news ten at ten -- the corridor's top stories forecast
