A handful of state lawmakers are pushing a bill that would give Law Enforcement permission to use an old swab test on people they think are driving under the influence of a Prescription Drug or an elicit substance. We have to have a way for Law Enforcement to quickly determine who is posing a danger as a motorist. Reporter republican state senator is sponsoring the bill and says between 2009 and 2013, the number of drivers killed in crashes who tested positive for drugs went up by more than 40 . This is a quick way to test and see if they are under the influence of something. And then if they fail this particular swab test, they can haul them down to the station for further testing. She used to be the executive assistant here at the law school. Shes suing the Law School Dean and the uc regents and is calling on the university for more transparency. He says she was heart broken when she learned her Sexual Harassment case at uc berkeley was among several others. Documents reveal 17 Sexual Harassment investigations since 2008 involving staff. 11 have resulted in the accused being fired or resigning. These include a custodian, peeking at a woman in the shower. A professor who sent sexual emails to a student and a massage therapist accused of touching a womans genitals.
