Yes, about 2 30 today, we received an alert from Sonoma CountySheriffs Office regarding a robbery that occurred there involving two subjects with ak47s driving a blue suburban. A Police Officer picked up the suburban entering calistoga. There was a short pursuit during which time apparently the suspects fired upon the officer. He was not struck but both vehicles did, were, involved in a collision. Were threw chased to calistoga or discovered in calistoga later on . I dont have that information. Preliminarily, i hear it is the Calistoga Police department. The second suspect at large, do you have a description of him . Hes a hispanic male with long dark hair and wearing black clothing. Are you thinking he is still armed . We did recover two rifles from the suspect vehicle but we are going to treat him as an armed suspect. Ak47s . I dont know if they were ak47s but they were two rifles. So all these agencies are here. You have an area. How big is your grid that youre searching in this area right now . Its a very large perimeter we have around the city of calistoga. We have assistance from helicopter support and also from various agencies in napa county and Sonoma County. What should citizens do. All of this began earlier today 1 5, 2 00 in windsor outside a bank. Perron the suspects were told went in. There was a shootout there. A Security Guard was injured. We do not know his condition at this time. Assault rifles were told went into the bank. At least one person wounded. A 535yearold male being rushed to santa rosa memorial hospital. He had three gunshots wounds. The helicopter was called out to the search. Helicopters are here in calistoga, as well. Searching the neighborhoods at low altitude. The assailants described as you heard, they were wearing masks. There were ak47s involved. We arrived shortly after this went down. All of a sudden, as were arriving there, four police cars, four different agencies tore out of there at high speed. They went south on highway 101 across springs road, led us to calistoga. And so ive asked that we look at what are we excluding people and what are we not excluding people for. A new report is shedding a negative light on the headlights on small suvs. Not a single small sub out of 21 tested earn aid good rating from the Insurance Institute for highway safety. Abc News Reporter david kerley has the details this is a first look attests for small suv heed lights shining a light on what researchers say are deficiencies. Two suvs driving down the same road. The ma zcx 3 with high beam assist earning an acceptable rating from the Insurance Institute for highway safety. The other suv, the honda hrv, illuminating far less earning a rating of poor. They tested 21 vehicles but not one small suv got the institutes highest rating of good. In fact, nearly twothirds tested rated poor and just four got the acceptable rating. The difference in headlight performance can vary even among suvs made by the same manufacturer. Theyre both made by honda. But the crv on the left and hrv on the right are giving drastically different visibility. Researchers say low beams should reach 330 feet on a straight road. The worst performers reached a little more than half that distance.
