Two opposite accounts of what transpired, leading to louder calls for the lease of dash and body cam footage. If those videos are released, that is one tangible olive branch to a community that is embroiled in inexplicable pain. Officer betty shelby shot and killed 40yearold inchterence crutcher. Video of the shooting and aftermath showed crutcher walking away from shelby with his arms in the air. Tulsa police say crutcher didnt have a gun on him or in his vehicle. Starting today, every California Police Department Must track and report all use of force incidents that cause a serious injury. Were talking about anything from a broken bone to a fatal shooting. That data will be collected on a new online data site thats launched and been launched today. The new policy will make california the first state to use a digital system to track police use of force incidents. A number of students at san jose state are on edge following the discovery of two swastikas in campus housing. Police say they know whos behind this. Two students have now taken responsibility, and the president is promising a thorough investigation. Some students on the sjsu compass say theyve had enough. To me its childish. Campus police tell us two male students are responsible, one for each incident. The two cases are unrelated. I dont want to go too much into motivation. I think it was characterized by both as a joke, in essence. Reporter at Washburn Hall on monday, one student formed a swastika out of name tags, but no physical damage was done to the building. That incident was followed by a swastika being drawn on a white board tuesday. The University President hasnt ruled out expulsion for the students and is promising a thorough investigation. We all should be outraged when any member of our community, when on campus at san jose state, in our neighboring communities, or anywhere where we live or work are targeted in some way that is hateful. A protest over the eviction of a longtime elderly resident got ugly in San Francisco today. Members of tenants Rights Groups unfurled a banner from the western edition buildsing where 100yearold iris canada was told to be out by today. Building residents took exception. So somebody inside reached through a window, then grabbed the banner and ripped off a section of it. Demonstrat demonstrators unfurled it again. Minutes later, a man pulled up the banner and walked away with. It a woman tried to stop him. The man said something to her and threw it off the side of the building. They went back and forth and back and forth. Demonstrators would put it back up again. Reporter Concord Police say one, maybe two men went inside a home on bella drive and opened fire. The 29yearold woman was shot in the arm. A 28yearold man was shot in the head. Thats brazen. Police have ruled out Gang Activity but dont know the motive behind the shooting. They say it looks like it was targeted, but it is still under investigation. Neighbors say the victims had recently moved into the home which is tucked away on a little side street in the subdivision that labels itself as a private property. Some here tell us they think the victims had to have been targeted. I think it was an isolated incident to be honest. Why it happened, not sure. Theyre very quiet, to be honest with you.
