Reporter Police Department is now the lead agency on this investigation and one of shellys two sons posted both of his parents passed away. After a loud entry into the thichner home, investigators searched for clues that might explain if paul was responsible for his wifes disappearance, two city cases collided. Sunday night, fisherman found a womans torso. Investigators found more remains tuesday night. I cant answer specifically what that information was, but it was enough to start including us in this case. Reporter as the agencies were several hours into the effort, paul thichner jumped to his death from the bay bridge. Until we resolve every lead were going to accept any conclusion. The Alameda County coroner has responsibility of identifying the remains. Detectives are processing evidence collected at the home and at paul ticheners place of business. They had filed for divorce in 2001 but Brisbane Police say there was no history of Domestic Violence on record.
