Mostly in rural areas. And up north, colfax, wisconsin, a confirmed tornado. Did damage to a middle and elementary cool. Theyre cleaning up, and the great news here, look for the light, no user. And plan you out today, more Violent Storms up through parts of missouri and into iowa, and for the most part, the entire state of minnesota here. Hail, damaging winds, a few tornados are possible. The pope abruptly canceling a scheduled appearance at an afternoon mass on friday. Sources tell abc news pope francis felt too fatigued after celebrating mass earlier that morning and bowed out only an hour before he was supposed to appear at another. This is the eighth time since november the pope has canceled an event, three this month alone. Since he was elected in 2013, the 77yearold has appeared in public seemingly nonstop. Traveling around the world, greeting his faithful followers, and testing the limits of his energy. I think what were seeing is a 77yearold man with an incredibly grueling travel schedule, and hes taking a break every now and then. On a recent trip to the holy land, the pope is seen cautiously kneeling down, showing his age. Papal observers worry he is pus putting on weight, lives, part of a lung gone from an earlier disease when he was younger. This is not a pope on the verge of stopping. And the search is over for the fire fighter who disappeared in the wilderness. The body of 34yearold Michael Herdman was found in a canyon less than a mile from where he was camping. And the woman run over by a beach patrol truck in daytona beach, florida, has been awarded 2. 6 million in damages. Meanwhile, police are using that surveillance tape to try to track down the suspect before he strikes again. Its beneficial they had the cameras they did have. And maybe an alarm next time. What are the issues surrounding pregnant women and exercise. A little mini med school. Four basic parameters, exercise, one is maternal heart rate. The other is the hydration status. Core body temperature. We want it to come down quickly. And blood sugar levels. You burn glucose during exercise. Those are the four big issues. My doctor said it was okay to continue doing what i was doing, but not to start a new sport. Correct. What are the sports and training that pregnant women should avoid . There are a couple that we tend to frown upon. And those are kind of lifethreatening potential exercises. Scuba diving, a change in pressure. Something like sky diving. Horseback riding, downhill skiing. In general, theres always exceptions. But they are at a high velocity, high rate of speed, and if theres an accident, could harm the fetus. And what shes saying about the pageant this morning. But first the accountant on trial for murder for allegedly killing his boss. The prosecution painting andy brown as a man who acted in desperation when he knew his number was up. Ryan owens has the story. Reporter prosecutors say andy brown is no mildmannered accountant. Hes on trial for murder, accused of killing his boss. This was a coldblooded killing by mr. Brown. It was thought out. Reporter prosecutors told the jury the 37yearold shot and killed his boss, david locey, at his office near kalamazoo, michigan, last year. He hired brown even though he was convicted of embezzlement back in 2005 and lost his cpa license. He started doing it again, and when confronted by his mentor, the allegations of the same old crime, brown silenced his boss forever. There is nobody else that would come to mind that would want to do this. Employees of the Accounting Office testified the two men had a heated argument the day before the murder. Brown has pleaded not guilty, and Defense Attorneys point out the client had no reason to hurt the victim, a man that was so generous to him. There is no motive. And the evidence will point to somebody else. The motive he was accused and apparently had been caught embezzling from one of the clients. And he caught him and confronted him. The winner wearing the crown for less than a week now told she has to give it back. It turns out in a pageant that sizes up figures, somebody got the numbers all wrong. And the young woman who thought she was moving on to the miss America Pageant will be staying home. This, a lifechanging moment for elizabeth fechtel, or so she thought. They made an oversight, not realizing she would turn 25 in october, making her a few months older than the titles age limit. The Miss America Organization saying in a statement, quote, we understand the impact that news of this type may have on these women and each of these state organizations and the great concern that goes with it. Whether your the auditor counting up the scores, or the administer processing the forms, you need to pay attention. It does impact these girls selfesteem, eligibility for scholarship, and sometimes their future career paths. Reporter this morning, fechtel, is still listed at miss florida on the organizations website, is gracefully dealing with the disappointment. Writing on her blog that a title does not define her. And now and shes recovered from the initial shot, she feels surprisingly empowered.
