He is now suing the park service and wants something done before anyone else is injured. At a bare minimum, i think the park owed a duty of care to all visitors to warn of this known danger, including posting signage around the grove of trees advising of the risk of falling seed pods. Its a growing problem, cars colliding with caltrains. The number of accidents have jumped significantly this year. The latest happening just last night. Now caltrains is making some changes. No one knows why that number shot up so quickly, but caltrain is putting things into place using police and social media to try and keep cars off the tracks. The most recent accident just last night in burlingame. A deadly case when a caltrain hit a car in menlo park killing the 30yearold woman behind the wheel. And a close call in sunnyvale that made headlines as police pulled a man from a truck moments before it was hit. The three suspects arrested in portland yesterday just days after investigators claim they shot and killed carter and wounded his dog along a hiking trail in fairfax. Deputies say the suspects were found with carters car in portland, tracked there using gps, possibly the cars grps. Investigators also announced today they believe they have recovered the gun used to kill carter. Its safe to say that the gun is now recovered during the course of the arrest yesterday was one of one similar to that that we were looking for, specifically as to caliber. Reporter Court Records show lampley, seen here after another arrest last year, had several previous runins with the law including weapons and Marijuana Possession charges. Santa clara county Court Records show in 2011, lampley was arrested this time in the south bay for carrying a concealed knife, telling police he was homeless, and using this knife for protection. The two other suspects dont appear to have a criminal history. In fact, information on all of them is very limited since none have formal identification. Tomorrow morning, we are expecting to see sunrises that will likely rival what youre seeing right now as we have high clouds up aboveme. North bay 58, and 59 expected for the south bay. We have been all abuzz in the Weather Department about this hurricane oho. Now theres just remnants of the storm left. You can see its not very well defined in the pacific. But remarkable on how close this is getting to the west coast. And you can see the subtropical moisture tab pointed up towards British Columbia and the pacific northwest. Oho is still alive. Its moving off quickly to the northnortheast. And the path of the storm system thats losing its tropical characteristics is still heading up towards British Columbia. They will have winds potentially 40 to 70 Miles Per Hour and a couple of inches of rainfall from that remnant. But, again, no longer a hurricane and not posing any threat to the bay area.
