In the backup an earlier crash caused more slowing. Slick roadways are an issue. A number of spinouts reported this morning, two over here in san mateo. This may be a normal thing when you have to take a flight on an early morning, a lot of cars here. On highway 101 traffic is moving a little smoother this morning. We did notice as we were going further in towards the city past the airport as were coming to the airport, we noticed that there was a lot more rain coming down out here, and that is something to definitely watch out for as well as a lot of wind as well. Thats going to be an issue that you have to really have on the top of your brain because the more wind out there, the more likelihood you could possibly lose control of your vehicle. So thats something you have to be aware of. Were sitting in a little bit of zone here as folks try to exit out of the airport. One of the interesting things we saw today is that people seem to not realize that its rainy and wet outside. So theyre still going very, very fast. A little faster than they should be. And the other thing, i dont think they actually know that the conditions can change and you dont actually know what those Road Conditions are like. That was the other thing we noticed today, folks just seem to be doing the normal thing. I had a woman tweet me up on twitter and say people just dont understand how to drive during the weather. Something like that. Well get back on 101 going north in just a moment going into the city and well show you more of the traffic conditions. Im hoping we wont see anymore accidents. I guess you know what the answer to that will be. We certainly hope not. Live from sfo, a good resource during this storm and during this rainy season is our free nbc bay area app. You can get updated forecasts and access our live interactive radar and its free for iphone and android. The wind not so bad for my great camera guy this morning. Henry operating his vehicle without any problem. We have noticed that interesting here on 280, the drivers are pretty much going at the correct speed limit if not a little lighter. Dont see a lot of zigzagging or hot dogging out here. The water on the road seems to be a little more on this highway than 101, at least to me. Maybe thats why there was at one point about four accidents pretty much in a row, within about a mile or two of each other. We will continue on this point going towards the city here on 280. It says our hot economy is about to get a splash of gasoline thanks to a massive stimulus that mr. Trump has planned. But like everything, a hot economy can be both good and bad. The bad can be a little less obvious. Were talking about inflation, a Strong Economy brings inflation. Inflation will bring rate hikes. That means your mortgage may be more expensive. Energy prices tend to go up, and a strong dollar, which i know is on both good and bad.
