Reporter Deanna Johnson disappeared after going to a house party just down the street from her childhood home. Her body found the next day down the road. She had been strangled and beaten. Suspects were questioned but no one ever arrested until now. Today its not a celebration. But it is a significant day. Reporter 51yearold Marvin Markle who was at the house party and 17 years old at the time was already behind bars in butte county convicted of a 2001 murder of another woman. Investigators say testimony in that trial included statements from people saying markle had admitted to killing deanna. May he rot in hell. San francisco has been named the most dangerous city for drivers in california. A new study based it on several factors including injury rates, alcoholrelated accidents and number of young drivers. Northern california cities claimed 4 of the top 20 spots on that list. At the top of the list of dangerous cities for drivers, San Bernardino is number 2 followed by santa ana, berkeley and los angeles. Simi valley was named the safest city for drivers. Just ahead of carlsbad, fremont, Thousand Oaks and temecula. University of california president Janet Napolitano back at work tonight after being hospitalized for cancer treatments. And she is urging the board of regents to approve a tuition hike. Day one of a twoday meeting on tuition and negotiations with the workers union. Tuition has been frozen for the last six years. But the uc system has seen increase enrollment while state funding has been cut. The board is expected to vote on the proposed tuition hike on thursday. President trump is cracking down hard on the Environmental Protection agency. The epa. The white house ordered that any studies or data from scientists now must be reviewed by political appointees before they can be released to the public. That includes reports on climate change.
