On the mic on the radio side will be the 49ers first female voice. Kate scott has come a long way since doug sports updates on knbr. You know, i really didnt think this day would be possible. Reporter kate scotts dream came true at last week when she made her nfl playbyplay debut calling the 49ers and texans game from the radio booth. The ball is out and the ball is loose and the texans have it and they have wide open spaces, 10, 5, touchdown houston. Reporter kate has playby play experience all right. But going from a High School Game to the nfl has its challenges. I think that its going to be the speed of the game especially with chip kelly going to the 49ers this year especially with 90 guys rotating in and out today. I think that combined with the tempo that kelly likes to play with, i think thats going to be the biggest challenge. Reporter she says the big legal stadium is a far cry from a high school gridiron. It was a 7 00 game and there was no lights. So we were in the far corner of the end zone like 20 yards beyond the field so we have absolutely no perspective and then we realize nobody had brought a light so we had to send some kid down through a store down the street to try to buy us lights so once you work with that, thinks big time in more ways than one. 20th time the throw, throws out to the ride side, mcdonald open to the 10, the 5s, the 49ers have their first touchdown of the 20 preseason reporter will your parents be watching channel 5 or listening to knbr . Thats a good question because sometimes they get too nervous to listen or watch whatever im doing. I think they should sent kate to the olympics. Yesterday the u. S. Mens Basketball Team advanced to the semifinals in rio with a 10578 win over argentina. The San Antonio Spurs guard played in four olympics including the gold in 2004 and ginobili was emotional following the game. Started playing at 19, 20 years old. Now im almost 40. So of course, a lot of things happen. Some amazing times. Most of them with the same core group of guys, good friends. Representing a lot of people that i love. Um, leaving aside my family. Dont cry for, um, argentina. Oh, did you it. You did it. I had to go there. Okay. Gave up a run. Okay. Excellent. Thank you very much.
