They got a call after workers from the building youre looking at alerted them that a strut used to hold up a platform gave away on the top of the building. That platform then began leaning at a 15 degree angle. There is a 30 ton concrete pump on the platform that was being used. There were fears that something could fall off. Streets were closed off and 16 buildings evacuated. Fire crews say the platform and the pump are both secure tonight. I asked crewswhy all the stories.
