Got shot in his back and girlfriend or whatever was trying to keep talking to him to stay here or whatever, but soon as he got on the garni, you could tell he was gone. Fairfield police say the 26 yearold men from San Francisco was pronounced dead at a hospital. Lieutenant kevin confirms the shooting happened near the playground at the wood side Court Apartment complex on alaska avenue just before 10 00 friday night. Police have no suspects saying only the man was shot multiple times while he was walking outside with a companion who was not injured. It was real crazy because this never really happens over here like that. Now its like, is it time to move or what . Its crazy. I have my son here and kids alethia here and they play here. We know this whole section, or corner area of the complex was taped off early this morning. No confirmation from police there was an underground Party Happening but other people who work here that say they see evidence of parties in the past. At 4 15 saturday morning, San Jose Police got a call about a shooting. By the time they arrived, somebody drove an injured man to the hospital on their own. The staff didnt hear the shooting or anything. That man has life threatening injuries but thats about all we know. Police dont know a motive nor do they have a suspect. A dispatcher at nearby green cab got a text from her coworker this morning. Shes like, i didnt know it happened. I didnt hear anything. She along with other neighbors workers say they wouldnt be surprised if theres other parties going on. Reporter . Ive heard music from the warehouses and not sure which one and i know theyve had parties before. Ive heard theres people that have parties on the weekend till 3 or 4 in the morning. Police interviewed several people and asked to see the Surveillance Video from green cap. So far it hasnt led to answers. Reporter good evening jr. Police say the stabbings happened just after 7 30 last night while the mall was open, people were inside shopping with their families. He says two groups of people got into an argument in front of the bath and body works store. At some point in turned into a brawl, two men were stabbed. Police say one of the men was treated here and released at the scene. The other transported to the hospital. Now just after 800 here and its still a very, very busy mall. People are coming and going. A few folks that i spoke to earlier today said its concerning that such a vicious confrontation happened at what they consider to be a typically safe place to unwind. We come to the mall to shop thinking youre safe can be and not coming to the mall to be injured. It does make you uncomfortable when you shop. I wouldnt worry about it too much. This is the second highway shooting in this area in just a few days. Chp says overnight on thursday a 340 yearold man was 30 yearold man was shot and killed near the Hilltop Drive onramp on 580 east. I talked to some people who live in the area and they say its a really disturbing trend thats got them concerned for their safety. Judy live in the area and it seeps to be random and its hard to tell whats gonna happen so, yeah, it is a big concern for me. I dont know if its a gang initiation situation or whether its just a personal thing that i dont know anything about, but it does concern me because of the way that i travel through this area.
