Agents swooped in the neighborhood this morning. This is video of salmon a day after the massacre. She said she didnt know anything but federal prosecutors believe she did know and did nothing to stop him. I have learned that the u. S. Attorney Generals Office have charged her with obstructing justice and providing material support. Her husband pledged allegiance during the standoff and 49 People Killed and omar mateen died. A mother of a young son is being held without bail. The family declined to comment and at the home this woman left the home ignoring questions and drove away. The neighbors are shocked by the arrest with some saying they suspected salman must have known something about the attack. I just felt like if you were married to somebody or have a child with somebody she may have had some thoughts about this and if she said something it could have saved lives and she may not know anything. And you know i hope thats the case. In a statement, Orlando Police chief john menis says there is some relief in knowing someone will be held accountable for that horrific crime. Salman will make her appearance in oakland and we will be there. At some point she will be transferred to florida. She had been living in the bay area with her family and this will be a quick hearing tomorrow. She likely will be wack in florida by the end of the week. The feds will transfer her to tampa, florida where the prosecutors filed the charges and she will make her First Court Appearance and sent back. An Interesting Development all of these months later. Noor salman was living at the time of the shooting. Neighbors that knew her are surprised by arrest especially so long after the shooting. In the days leading up to the attack, police say that noor salman lived here at this force pierce condominium and federal prosecutors now say in 7 months after the shooting she supported her husbands deadly terrorist attack on the pulse nightclub. Neighbors that linext to the couple were surprised to hear the charges were filed against mateens wife that was seen with her baby. They say they also support the arrest. I live right there. My back door was there. It was upsetting to know this. If she is guilty of it, take her down. We dont want anymore. I reached out to salmans family including her father and no answer and calls not returned. Noor salman has been charged with aiding and abetting her husbands attempt obstructing justice and the first penalty carrying a penalty of life in prison resulting in the death of any person. It once the crime occurs, there is extensive effort that goes into investigating the crime and conducting interviews and conducting interviews of witnesses and just in this case where the shooter was killed, that doesnt mean that the investigation stopped. And the federal investigators, the local investigators, they are people. And they want the answers and the closure just like the family does. And they feel an obligation and a desire to want to give those families a sense of closure to help understand what happened. Give us the lay of the land. So this is an ongoing process that can take several month. What is the bar for responsibility if i believe my spouse is potentially capable of doing something that could be dangerous . Is it my responsibility to tell authorities. Where does that bar lie . People say a lot of things but to do it is another thing and would you be responsible for if something that your spouse did if you thought there was an inkling but you didnt know for sure .
