A family of three who were victims of the take over robbery aboard a bart train have filed a legal claim against bart. Thats the first step to a lawsuit. The plaintiff was heading home when a mob of juveniles pounded on the train cars that stopped at the coliseum station, when the doors opened he was beaten and robbed by three teenagers. He stepped into the intersection to stop traffic and a driver did not stop and he hit him, adding another number to this unwanted trend. Distracted driving and speed are factors, there is a lot going on and we are trying to bring focus back to people to emphasize good driving behavior. Reporter they said refresher courses for driving are needed. So far this year there have been 12 almost fatal accident. This driver was hit and killed by a bus on north eighth street. The family is calling for the state to fund a Pilot Program for Speed Enforcement cameras. Coming out of the gate you are not going to have the exact plan for highway you are going to pay for universal access to healthcare but right now, for businesses, they are paying huge ams in terms of insurance. So businesses, individuals, everyone is paying a lot. The question is, how do you direct the resources into a comprehensive plan to make sure that everyone has access to healthcare. No matter what is happening in the private Insurance Market we want that safety net. We do not have all of the answers yet in terms of paying for it.
