Efforts. The personnel working diligently around the clock as we have been to do what we can to expedite the process. And what may have gone wrong. We have 11 tentative identifications and three john does. Where you have not been able to identify because they did not have id or their bodies burn to the point nearly impossible at this point to id number. Correct. We heard there was word that this was no more bodies but we have clarified that. You have clarified that. Theres an optimistic approach that there will be no more bodies but there is a chance, correct. That is correct. There is still 20 to 25 of the structure that needs to be covered. And we are optimistic that we wont go beyond the 36 but i couldnt definitively tell you that we will be at 36. What is it like and how difficult is it for you and the rest of your agency to deal with it . Not judge my agency but as First Responders we have various agencies on the scene that have been here working countless hours to get this effort completed. We are not we are not focusing on us. We are focusing on taking care of the task at hand. Our primary goal is to get you know the victims recovered and get the families notified and give them some sense of i wont say closure but some sense of closure in at least knowing what the status of their loved one is. Thats our primary focus as far as our personal feelings, right now, thats on the back burner because we have a job to do and thats what we are here to do. Doing it overnight and through the next day and as long as it takes. Thank you for joining us. So ken and julie, the work does continue here and one of the other Job Responsibilities for the Sheriffs Department is to notify individuals. Loved ones that have past and that of course is very difficult part of their job, one that they have done heroically over the last three days. Guys. It is heart breaking. Ted, earlier we were told we are learning more about the final minutes inside and when you hear what happened, you would have hoped that smoke that they passed out from smoke inhalation and didnt know what was happening and you heard that people were inside sending Text Messages and they found out that some were trying to break out of a window to get out. Can you tell us more about that . First the window, the second floor of the building. Difficult to see from here the second floor in the White Building and way back is where some of the people were. The building in the second floor on the second floor there are windows but grates like a mesh grate and that covers the window. Anyone trying to get out via the glass window just couldnt. You mentioned the Text Messages, yeah, thats just heart breaking to hear that there were individuals inside texting their parents and loved ones and one of those stories was told to us where a daughter was texting their parents saying i think i am going to die. And it just brings home the horrible last moments that many of these young people obviously went through before losing their lives. All right, ted. We will check back with you for more on all of this. Thank you. At 8 00 a candlelight vigil is set to begin at oaklands lake merit, here is a live picture from sky fox. I am hearing too much blame for people that chose to go to the show because being in the fire was not their intent. And the people that live there. That wasnt the reason why they lived there. Hearing some people condemn the people that live there just makes the situation worse because with rising rents it is so difficult to find Affordable Housing and so for people to find a place and a community where they could live and flourish as artists. As the memorials grow, tonight the larger venue, lake merit becomes the nexus for the pain that oakland has been experiencing for the past few days. Now, this gathering is built as a light vigil. Ktvus Cristina Rendon is live at lake merit with more details. Cristina. Well, we expect a large gathering here at lake merit in just about an hour. Thousands are expected to attend this vigil for the victims. Survivors may be attending too and we repeatedly heard from them that the ghost ship warehouse was affordable option and the only one for them to live and some of them share with us what that experience was like inside. It was built by people that created community. It was called sanitia huhga to 20 artist is with a Community Bathroom and kitchen. The second floor with events in the common area. We also received a tip from someone that wanted to remain anonymous that says he believed that there were rooms being rented out on air b and b inside the warehouse but i did reach out to an air b and b spokesman, he says they have never had an active listing for that building or had an air b and b guest stay there. Cristina rendon, live in oakland. Thank you. Our indepth special continues coming up next. We will go back to ted rollins live at the scene. We want to give you another look at some of the victims at the oakland fire tragedy. Here is the latest on the deadly oakley fire. You can see it from sky fox. The careful search of the site continues. 75 to 80 of the buildings have been gone through. 36 victims have been removed, the bodies and 35 identified. Oakland Officials Say the next update wont be until 6 00 a. M. Tomorrow. The city of oakland is focused on the victims and notification of the loved ones. At the same time the District Attorney has launched an investigation to determine if there might be criminal charges including the possibility of murder charges. We want to go back to ktvu ted rollins field anchoring from 31st and international. Reporter you mentioned that investigation, thats an integral part of the election process getting material from the warehouse bucket by bucket and right now they are using this crane brought in earlier. You remember if you have been following this for a while the process was shut down because they were worried about the integrity of one of the walls of the building. Using the crane to lower in firefighters to an area to where they can get to without being in danger on the way in or in the way out. So they are sifting through the remaining as you said, ken, 20 of the warehouse to bring out materials. They dont believe there will be any other victims, however, the arduous work continues inside the warehouse. It also continues outside where the difficult process of notifying the loved ones of those that have been lost continues as well. 20 or so people have been notified. That process is going on as we speak. The other 16 will be notified over the next few hours as they continue to reach out to the relatives of those that they have identified. 36, you mentioned dead and 33 have been identified. And then that notification process continues. They will be out here all day tomorrow. Another factor that they are thinking about is the rain an. There is rain in the forecast. They are hoping to get as much done before that rain begins later in the week. It is a difficult process and you can see it in their eyes and their voices when they talk about it, the workers, it has taken their toll as well. Earlier you were talking to one of the Sheriff Deputies. She put it in good perspective. She said they cant think about the toll it is taking on them now because they are focused on taking care of the victims and their families but i imagine later when that process is over, they will be thinking about this. And they will be thinking about it, she said and others have said for literally the rest of their lives. Its that difficult. And reminders to people, one of the Alameda County Sheriff Deputies lost a child in this tragedy. It really has hit home. They are going through the work. Ted rollins live in oakland, thank you.
