The recently ousted fbi director wrote a memo the day after Michael Flynn was fired alleging the president said i hope you can elect this to go talking about the fbi probe into flynn. Democrats said this dance is uncomfortably close to the Legal Definition of obstruction of justice. If you are prolific in trying to persuade of the director of a backing off a certain investigation of a certain individual is an obstruction of justice and that is a serious matter. The white house denying the allegation they quote the president has never asked anyone to and any investigation to end any investigation. The use of a non sourced material is amazing. Someone committed a crime here. This latest report one day after the Washington Post report claimed the president allegedly classified information into russian diplomats. My advice would be not to talk to the russians about anything sensitive. The Oversight Committee chairman said he and his committee would be willing to subpoena any information if need be. Other lawmakers are renewing their calls for the fbi director to appear publicly in front of lawmakers on capitol hill. Joining us now is a law professor. The words were i hope you could let this go. You dont have to actually manage to obstruct justice. Are we getting to a point where people might up impeachment. Is it is a serious. Potentially it is. The practical problem is to have impeachment is you need a majority of the house of representatives to agree to go ahead and impeach. Republicans control the house. Also to convict the president of impeachment you would need two thirds of the senate and the senate is controlled by republicans. Unless there is incredible melting away. On what ground. Obstruction of justice. The inability to effectively carry out the author. There any number of things. They were far more careful about then the president was. This complaint goes into detail with the allegations against the company. The woman claimed she was fired in march when she took her could took her concerns about Improper Conduct to management. The penalty phase of the Garcia Torres murder trial got underway today. The families of 18 of the 36 victims took legal action. They are accusing the buildings landlord and manager of negligence or allowing the dangerous conditions that led to the deadliest fire and the history of oakland. They have now added another defendant to the case. The lawsuit not only named the landlord and the couple who were the main tenants in the warehouse but also pg e for liability in the warehouse. Thirtysix people died at the ghost ship warehouse in oakland. There was a complaint filed tuesday saying pg and eat was negligent for failing to provide safe Regulatory Service at the building. They contributed to this fire. They did not follow their own rules. They exhibited a willful and latent disregard for the safety of the people who came into this building and the people who lived there. They failed to bring safe power into the ghost ship.
