I think later compared to yesterday with the sunshine. Around noon yesterday there were noticeable breaks. Thats not the case today. 40s and 50 oes on the temperatures 50s on the temperatures. Low 50s and upper 40s, really here everyone is within a couple degrees of each other. Black hawk, the higher clouds will be with us in the morning. If youre driving on 580, thats surprisingly good. Back to the desk. Were finding out more information about a late night, double shooting at a sports bar. They have arrested someone in connection with the attack on alan rock avenue near james lick high school. Janine is live at the nightclub with what investigators are telling you about this case. Good morning. Good morning, tori. This happened at the daisy o nightclub at capital. Laes yeek a man died in a shooting that happened at another nightclub down on north capital. Police were called here at 10 00 last night. Video shows men arguing inside the club. It kept escalating. Two men were shot and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. There were about 30 people inside the bar at the time. They interviewed many of them and looked for evidence. Police did detain several people. You can see one in handcuffs put into a patrol vehicle. They did confirm theyve arrested one for assault with a deadly weapon. This bar is in the same strip mall where a homicide occurred in the past year and a half. The victims, at least in this latest shooting have not been identified. Police have told us that they appear to be asian and under the age of 30. This business, im told by police, is a vee yet in a mees hang out. There is signage on the door that says they aplayed for aly kor license in january. It is quiet around here. We do want to talk to those people once they start showing up here on scene. Back to you. Thank you, janine. Police in gillroy are now investigating the death of a man inside his home as a home side. Two young woman are wanted for questioning. Robert hiezer on bay tree drive, he was last seen alive on sunday night leading police to believe he was killed over night into monday. An autopsy revealed he died blaunt force trauma. They are now looking for the woman shoned in this surveillance video. It shows them in a minimart where theyre accused of using his credit card shortly after his death. They were la tina, between 18 and 25 years old. Nin with information is asked to call police. 7 05, the tragic killing of a College Student who hoped to 1 day become a detective. It appears to be a case of mistaken identity. Joe ramirez was shot and killed in his drive way back in december. He had been visiting his girlfriend. Didnt have time to turn the engine off on his car. He lived with his mother and grandfather in a detached building from the home just steps from where he was shot. The neighbors in the main house, they were running a marijuana growing operation with more than 200 pot plants inside. We do know that joel had no connection to this what so ever. I may stress, joel was the person you would want to live next door to you. This killing is probably connected to the marijuana grow house, but that gunman is still on the loose. Theyve created a memorial in his on nor. City officials are offering a 2,500 dollar reward. A valley ball coach accused of trying to have sex with a mine nor. Shell nelson was arrested last week in santa cruz. He met the under age victim in 2012 while coaching volley ball at a private club operated by his wife. Parents are concerned about increased class sizes. If they have to increase the rash owes as theyre talking about, thats not pretty. The School District has always sought to provide a quality education for every child. Some are worried that that will change if you increase class sizes. Right now, we have negotiated standards for class sizes which is 31 to 1. If the District Needs to move to that standard, its something thats been negotiated with teachers in good faith. One teacher said she has not received a raise in 8 years. Its unfair that teachers are suffering from fiscal mismanagement. Were going to see if we can get reaction from them this morning. This all comes as police are investigating a resent rash of burglaries in the neighboring valley. Hes being charged with burglar and grand theft. Police in chicago searching for a doggy day care van that was stolen with six dogs inside. Urban out sitters was getting ready to take the dogs home to their owners. Two men got into the van, drove away with these dogs still inside. The openers of the dogs are heartbroken and worried. We really want the van to be left some where in an area where people will hear the dogs barking or even see the van if the owners of the dogs are worried the animals may possibly freeze to death if theyre left inside. When people, especially young people feel entirely trapped in impoverished communities, where there is no order and no path for advancement, where there are no educational opportunities, no ways to support families and no escape from injustice and the humiliations of corruption, that feeds instability and disorder. It makes those communities ripe for extremist recruitment. Weve seen it across the middle east and north africa. If were serious about countering this, we have to get serious about confronting the economic grieve enss. Here at this summit, the United States will make new commendments to help young people. Including in muslim communities to forge new collaboration [inaudible] and science, technology. All our nations can reconfirm our commitment to broad base development that creates growth and jobs. Its not possible for any sing m stroij speak on behalf of the islamic world. That is at the crux of some of the debate between republicans and the president , whether or not this is a fight over religion. Some republicans have criticized the president for his with the islamic religion. Again, we are monitoring this. The president speaking live. This is what it should look like with the traditional slow traffic coming in getting to the bay bridge toll plaza. Theres about a 20 to 25minute delay there then about a 10 to 15minute drive over the bridge. San jose is not good. Northbound 101, very heavy traffic. This is partially due to earlier problems. 101 is one, solid line of slow traffic into the Mountain View sunny vail area. Take your patients with you. Lets go to snooef the weather center. You can still see blood on the floor and lots of beer bottles on the table. It happened at 10 00 last night. A fight between men started. It escalated. A gun was pulled out and two men were shot. They are both asian men and appear under the age of 306789 they were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. There were about 30 people in the club at the time. They interviewed many of them canvassed the area looking for evidence. You can see one in handcuffs put into a patrol car. They have arrested one for this crime. We also have just learned too, that they are looking for an additional suspect in this crime. We spoke to a manager next door about this violence. Im [inaudible] scared. I think today the first day pr the new year, then what happened . There are a lot of vee yat in a mees businesses in the area. Just last week there are two other deadly shootings close by in this case. So there is again, one in custody. Police are still looking for an additional suspect who was involved in this shooting.
