Reporter good morning. We are here at the Hayward Police were the first investigate after workers discovered these human remains. Theyve handed them over to the San Francisco authorities and that Hayward Police are working alongside the San Francisco police. We understand the San Francisco police will need to use dna testing to identify the remains discovered in the warehouse of the weekend. The workers said there was a strong smell, they investigated on their own before calling the police after discovering the plastic bags that appeared to contain body parts. Piseth chhay was a driver for uber and disappeared after going to help bob tang. At this point investigators have confirmed that bob tang has connection to that warehouse where the remains were found but authorities are not saying what the link is. It is possibly a significant break but this person, we are looking for this missing person. We do not know of any other missing person that is tied to bob tang. Reporter the police in San Francisco have been trying to track down bob tang to talk with him about the disappearance of piseth chhay and they believe that tang led the country and now in cambodia. As for the timeline they have no timeline on how long it will take for investigators to positively identify the remains and we will try to talk with sam cisco authorities and the authorities in Alameda County to find the latest on this investigation. More than 42,000 acres of burned with 13 homes destroyed. More than 50,000 people have been evacuated due to the fire, and it is only 10 contained. Firefighters say that the stronger wind today will create a red flag condition. The fire fire burning in Los Angeles County still burning and this one has burned 750 acres as of last night. It was 50 contained and authorities believe it started when the traffic collision caused a tree to catch fire. Several nearby communities have been evacuated and so far we have not heard of any injuries. It is a big problem down there. Right now it is 6 29 am. Reporter the Bay Area Metropolitan Transportation Commission would like the chp to step up enforcement of the carpool cheats like this when on interstate 880. The carpool lane is for three or more people during the commute hours but many folks driving this highway and at ross the bay area that will tell you that many people do not obey the rules. Carpool cheating is a big problem in the bay area and across the state. Solo drivers can legally use the carpool lane if they have a electric vehicle with a special sticker or decal. The program is set to expire in 2019 that allows electric cars to use the lane but there is a bill in legislature to extend it by five years. They say they will not support the bill unless the state earmarks extra funds to pay for that stepped up enforcement of carpool cheats. Those driving the lane without extra passengers will pay a fine of 490 which is not cheap but not serving as a good deterrent. They want to write more tickets and they have writ more over the last several years but not as enough to stop the cheats. You mentioned the commute on westbound i80 through berkeley, and that is but this is right now. It is moving but gets a bit backed up heading toward the maccarthur maze. It is hard to tell from this Vantage Point but im sure if we spoke with drivers on the roads right now they would point out that maybe not everyone in that far left carpool lane has at least three people in the vehicle. This is highlighting the problem about the carpool cheats and how frustrating it is for a lot of the drivers. It is tempting for the cars because it is wide open but obviously that is the problem. Reporter sometimes it does not seem to me that the carpool lane is that wide open and maybe that is the problem with the carpool cheats of people driving in it when they should not be. There are a lot of electric vehicles that are allowed even without three passengers, and the number of people driving those types of vehicles has increased over the last several years which could make the carpool lanes busier overall. Northbound 280 with traffic light as you drive up to highway 17, no major issues getting into the west valley. So far we are good on this commute. Here is a look at the bay bridge toll plaza, and traffic is okay driving into San Francisco. The backup is only about a 20 minute delay at the toll plaza. We are looking at the san mateo bridge where the westbound traffic looks okay and heading to the san mateo bridge up to the highrise section. We are also looking at the walnut creek interchange and we are beginning to see slow traffic between concord, walnut creek and westbound 24 through that area. It is 6 49 am. We have gone from very hot to pretty cool and in fact today and tomorrow to be below average for many locations. We were so far above average and now we will be just a bit below. It is easier to get way above the and we below but we started off very cool for this month in the first 10 days of june were cool before we went to that stretch of 10 days of hot weather and back to this cool pattern.
