Eyewitness News Reporter Stephanie Stahl shows you health risks. Researchers from pen medicine says obese people are sterio timed as lazy, un attractive, to blame for their excess weight. According to new study the shame they feel can increase the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic disease. When people are exposed to messages of blame or shame, because of their well, and then they internal eyes them, that may create risks for poor mental and physical health. Rebecca pearl at penn center for weight and eating disorders did the research with 159 obese people. They worked with a weight bias internal is agents scale, when people believe negative stereotypes. We found that people who have the highest weight bias internal is agents scores had three times greater odds of having metabolic syndrome, and six times greater odds of having high triglycerides. They say the health risks were above and beyond those usually associated with obesity, and that when people feel shamed because of their weight, theyre more likely to avoid exercise and consume more calories, cope with the stress. So it is important for example when providers are discussing weight with their patients, to be sensitive to this issue. The pen researchers say body shame something a widespread problem, often seen in Cyber Bullying and, comments made about celebrities, that research was published in the journal of the obesity society. Roger more ills, with the National Insurance crime bureau, says two devices like this one can be used to mimic a key to be. This recreation shows man getting out of his car and using the fob to lock it. Morris in the blue jacket uses relay box to intercept the fob code. The code is then immediately sent to a second man, with a small box, that now acts as the vehicles fob allowing him to unlock the car, open the door, start the car, and drive away. We tested 35 vehicles. Eighteen of them were able to start the device as well as drive off. These boxes came from a company that works with Law Enforcement, but morris believes professional criminals have figured out how to make their own, they can be used to take a vehicle immediately or can save the code and steel the car later on.
