Perez was originally taken into custody as a suspect in a shooting death of a man following an altercation at a mcdonalds back in august. In a federal courthouse Danny Heinrich described in detail how he says he kidnapped and sexually abused the young boy. According to reporters in court, he told the judge, i was driving on a dead end road. I noticed three children on their bicycles with a flashlight. At the time, jacobs brother described how the two of them and a friend were held at gunpoint. He told us to put our bikes in the ditch and lay down. Reporter heinrich says he drove away with jacob, handcuffing him. The boy asked, what did i do wrong . Heinrich told the court he sexually abused jacob and then shot him at the edge of the woods. Investigators did question heinrich at the time, but there was never an arrest. It would take nearly three decades for a break in the case. Heinrichs dna, discovered on a sweatshirt of another victim abducted around the same time. Police searched his home. Leading to an arrest on child pornography charges. After almost 27 years, Danny Heinrich was willing to talk. And we had to grab the moment. Reporter the 53yearold told police where he buried jacobs body. In exchange for not being charged with the murder. Heinrich still faces 20 years in prison after pleading guilty on the pornography charges. Yesterday bondi declared she will not be bullied by Hillary Clinton. Let me tell you, i will not be Collateral Damage in a president ial campaign. Nor will i be a woman bullied by Hillary Clinton. This is about her trying to deflect everything she did as secretary of state. Of course i asked donald trump for a contribution. Thats not what this is about. She was saying he was under investigation by my office at the time, and i knew about it. None of which is true. The 2013 donation by the donald j. Trump foundation was made four days after the announce that bondi said she was considering joining a new york state investigation into trump university. The donation violated federal rules that prohibit charities from donating to political candidates. Trump and his team also failed to disclose the gift to the irs. Instead reporting that the donation was given to an unrelated group with a similar name effectively obscuring the contribution. Trump paid a 2,500 penalty to the irs for the errors, and also reimbursed his foundation the full amount from his personal account. The New York Times reports that trump has a long record of breaking political donation limits and circumventing rules covering contributions and lobbying. In the 1990s trump was fined for exceeding the annual limit on Campaign Contributions by 47,050. And in 2000 the new York State Lobbying Commission imposed a 250,000 fine for trumps failing to disclose the full extent of his lobbying of state legislators. The Huffington Post reports that in 2014 trump hosted a 3,000 a person fundraiser for bondi who was facing a tough reelection campaign. Yesterday, Hillary Clinton demanded details of the conversation in which bondi solicited trumps donation. The American People deserve to know what was said because, clearly the attorney general did not proceed with the investigation. The Trump Campaign yesterday clarified remarks trump made monday denying any communication with bondi. A trump spokesman tells nbc news that when trump said he quote never spoke to bondi he was referring to the investigation. President obama continues to work to heal the wounds of war, and improve relations with a potential Strategic Partner during his historic visit to laos. The president made several stops around the country this morning, including a tour of a Rehabilitation Center for survivors of unexploded u. S. Bombs from the vietnam war.
