He is saying that any tax reform ought to make sure it benefits the middle class and we ought not avoid the working families who have seen over the last three decades not only costs going up College Costs and Everything Else but wages are stagnant. The president has a proposal that is concrete to invest in education and training. That middle class families need to see the wages go. You can do one of three things. You can either not do the policies and that may be the republican goal. Or you could do the policies and not pay for them and add to the deficit. An investigation is under way into a devastating fire in annapolis, maryland that destroyed a 16,000 square foot home and this morning six people inside it are feared dead. The grim possibility that six family members who are still missing may have perished in the blaze. It includes a tech executive, his wife and four grandchildren. Fire officials on the scene said it doesnt appear as though the fire is suspicious. They are working furiously to determine what could have caused so much devastation. The fire was so powerful and destructive that federal atf agents are on the scene investigating what caused the blaze that gutted this multimilliondollar waterfront mansion monday. The images show the fire erupted after 3 00 monday morning, flame quickly engulfed the home that some neighbors dubbed a castle a 16,000 square foot mansion on eight acres outside annapolis, maryland. Neighbors were stunned. The shot of flame went shooting high in the sky and we thought my god, whats that . 85 firefighters battled the blaze and at daylight the home was smoldering. There was no fire hydrant in the area and officials had to schultz in water. Initially that was accomplished by using tankers and draft sites. They would transition to using the fire out in the creek. The house was owned by don pyle a philanthropist and chief operating officer of science logic. In a statement they confirmed the fire at his home adding the case is under investigation. We have no further comment. As the Community Waits for answers, neighbors say he and his wife are thoughtful people who enjoy spending time with their grandchildren. Really, really nice people. This morning we are kicking off something new. There has been a debate over straight versus curly hair. Dove hair focuses on moms daughters and their curly tresses. Do you like your hair . No. You dont like your hair . I want my hair to be straight. When you have your hair straight its really smooth. Do you think thats more beautiful . Yeah. I sat down with some of the women and their daughters who participated in the dove Hair Campaign to find out more about their hair struggles. It gets in my face a lot. Its curly and bouncy and puffy. I would have to sort of damp it and brush through it. Even at an early age, their curls are a hot topic. Jewel and asia are 6 and 12 and karina age 6 are aware of their curly hair. I at least touch it and pull it like this and do this. Do you think it looks better straight . I feel its easier to do and looks better. Its a lovehate relationship their moms are well aware of. She said i want it straight. Its too poofy. She used to give me a hard time letting me leave her hair loose. Both moms and daughters took part in a dove Hair Campaign all about curly hair and we were with them when they watched the campaign for the first time. Do you like your hair . No. You dont like your hair . I want my hair to be straight because when you have your hair straight its really smooth. Do you think thats more beautiful . Yeah. It doesnt really feel good to have curly hair. I try to make it straight but it doesnt work. I try to do this. But it doesnt work. Sometimes i just wish i could rip it out, but im not going to do that. I think about my hair that i dont want it anymore. What did you think when you saw that . Sad. Upsetting of course to see that. There so many girls out there and even women that feel less confident with their curly hair. Elizabeth and claudia realize they set the tone for how their daughters feel about themselves and their hair. The majority of the time i wore it straight. It was an eyeopening experience. I wear it mostly curly now. I realize im her number one role model. What we portray as mothers carry on. They hope to be part of the solution encouraging their girls to love their hair and love themselves. What do you tell your girls . I think they are beautiful. They look beautiful and i want them to be confident with their curls. Her hair is whats gorgeous and shiny and beautiful and curly. I love it. If you look at yourself now, what do you say . Its still puffy, but its still pretty. The curls are really, really curly. I love it. Its yours. So be you. So why does it seem so many women and young girls are so focused on their curls . Child psychology jenna is here and psycho therapist nicky walton blogs about women and hair. You see the gorgeous girls in the campaign. They have problems with their hair. They are so perfect and beautiful. Where does this come from . We know that image of beauty comes from mothers or parents to their daughters and comes from the media. We know there is an image we are trying to project that straight and sleek is whats normal and seen as beautiful. That gets passed down and the girls get stuck there. Straight hair is the standard of beauty period. Is it . It truly is. There would not be a Campaign Like this if it was not necessary. There wouldnt be websites like mine if this was not necessary. Our hair does not look as acceptable and professional in its natural state. Thats crazy. This is needed. Totally needed. You were a young girl who grew up not loving your hair. What changed for you . I went to a college far away from my hometown. I had no access to hair care. I hated my hair. I wore it straight all of my life. The moment that i got away from the curling iron and the flat iron i didnt know what to do. My self esteem plummeted. My boyfriend, now husband said you are a psychology major. Im a psycho therapist now. You are going to need to look at this. This is not healthy. I started exploring and eventually embraced my curls and started a website to help other women to make it easier and give us a platform to come together and inspire etch other. We need that. It is about the role models whether you are a mom and its the women in your life giving you the messages. I would like to say its not just women. The more people in your life moms dads aunts uncles are saying embrace this part of you. Girls are seven times more likely to embrace that part of them. That leads them to be confident. I wanted blue eyes and blond hair growing up. Embrace the difference. Thats a slight difference too. For a lot of women its the grass is only greener. With highly textured hair its more than that.
